Banana Leaf is such a favorite of mine that it's last the last branch in HK only exists in Fanling - a place I don't live or work near. Sometimes I think it is a blessing in disguise because if it was near my home I would eat there all the time and gain a lot of weight! This is truly the best malaysian restaurant in Hong Kong. Classic, not fussy and just plain yummy.

They do specially handmade roti canai - unlike many other places that uses the frozen kind. They also have yummy curries, noodles, satay, roti tisue and teh tarik - all authentic. Sometimes I wish the food was less greasy so it could be healthier but I guess that's not what malaysian cuisine is about. Highly recommend the roti canai and curry out of all the dishes.

I went to Kuala Lumpur last year and I swear the food here is better!
