Booked a table to celebrate mum's birthday. Since we had a big Chinese dinner on the "lunar birthday" already (and we ALWAYS have Chinese dinner with family), I decided to hold an casual Italian night with my parents. Can't really taste any lemon but I liked the subtle taste of saffron and creamy risotto texture. If he risotto was served hot (instead of merely warm), it could have taste better though.

The suckling pig is one of the reasons why I picked up Assaggio out of the rest of Italian restaurants. I believed they prepared it only when we ordered since we have waited it for a long time.
Parents were happy when they see the pig come. It was quite close to "Canton" taste and it was easier for older generations who selfdom have western food to accept it.
Just one drawback: it was slightly overcooked which made the pork lost most of its juice and became too dry. We ordered wine & 3 desserts too since it was a celebration meal.
[Tiramisu]

As the most typical Italian dessert, it was as good as expected in a Italian restaurant. Texture was creamy, espresso & Marsala wine tastes were profound.
[Peach Gratin with Cream & Lavender]

It looked surprising cute in picture. But the lavender taste was just didn't match with the fruit.
[Chocolate Mousse with Hazelnut & Espresso Coffee Sauce]

Espresso covered the taste of chocolate and hazelnut. As a chocoholic I was really disappointed by the sugar flavour in the mousse instead of cocoa taste.
