Came in here with a reservation with a friend to check out this new restaurant recommended by a friend. Located conveniently in the midst of Causeway Bay (at least for me it was as I was shopping in Sogo prior to lunch), it is perched on the top floor of Jardine Centre. Came in here with a reservation with a friend to check out this new restaurant recommended by a friend. Located conveniently in the midst of Causeway Bay (at least for me it was as I was shopping in Sogo prior to lunch), it is perched on the top floor of Jardine Centre. The restaurant itself provides a very private space as it consists of a few private rooms and tables as well as a long table counter. We sat at the table counter for lunch in order to see and experience the preparation of our lunch. My friend ordered the Sea Tempura Prawn on rice set while I ordered the "choose your favorite sushi platter - 8 pieces" set. Each set came with an appetizer, miso soup, salad and egg custard which were pretty standard. I selected a few of my favorite types of sushi, including uni and some tuna, which in my opinion were pretty fresh and great for the price. The head chef, Andy Li, explained that he ages his ingredients more as compared to other shops to get a more robust flavor, which I definitley tasted in the tuna. As it was lunchtime, I didn't think it would be wise to sample some of their sake but will try to do so next time during dinner time. I tried a piece of my friend's prawn tempura which I thought was pretty good. Crisp without too much batter, the prawn was definitley fresh and full of flavor. Will try this place again soon as Andy explained that the dinner experience if quite the full shelfed fine dining experience.
