In need of a cake break, I found a seat at Pedestrian Coffee after work. Located in Causeway Bay, this small coffee shop is part of this corner where there are a number of coffee shops.Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. They offer a variety of coffee and non coffee drinks.Food is in the form of bagels, cakes and scones. Choices are constantly changing so just ask. I decided on a Latte ($40). It arrived with a Pegsus style latte art. The coffee was fine. A small amount of milk to espresso. Espresso had a slight floral taste.
For the cake, I chose a Strawberry Angel ($68). Now this was fantastic. It was better than the coffee! A clever rendition of the angel food cake. It was shaped like a cone. The cake was soft and cloud-like. Not too sweet as well. It was topped with a pretty sweet strawberry.
It was filled with a creamy strawberry pastry cream. Absolutely fantastic.
I loved the cake. It's not very big but service was friendly enough. Will definitely be back.
