As I grew up with eating 利川, and tbh I think it's really good already with such price, I couldn't quite imagine how exceptionally good Tangyuan can be. Here I finally tried it and be able to confirm 福元 actually made the top-notch ones. The really aromatic black sesame paste would run out once you take a bite of that soft glutinous outer layer. However, there was only three Tangyuen in this dessert and they were all the black sesame flavor ones. Would love to come back for trying the peanut Tangyuan and see if it's as good as these. For the dessert base, I ordered the walnut paste. Claimed to be made with red dates, but I couldn't quite taste it, and it's not really having the rich nutty flavour. Maybe I should just keep it simple and having the ginger soup instead next time.
