Yes,I totally agree with 為食肥人that the quality of service is really not consistence with the food!Last month, I knew there is promotion from the magazine,which is a holiday promotion menu (1 pasta/risotto + 1 pizza + coffee/tea $198 for 2 persons) during tea time. Then I went to try with my friend on one saturday. When I look at the menu, it was clearly stated that " it is available TILL 6pm on weekend". So i sat down and wait till my friend came. Last month, I knew there is promotion from the magazine,which is a holiday promotion menu (1 pasta/risotto + 1 pizza + coffee/tea $198 for 2 persons) during tea time. Then I went to try with my friend on one saturday. When I look at the menu, it was clearly stated that " it is available TILL 6pm on weekend". So i sat down and wait till my friend came. During that time, I saw one couple ordered this menu. They were served some foccacia, and normal table setting.
After my friend came, we asked a waiter to take the order. He was looking very young. Anyway, becoz we didn't have that holiday menu on hand, so we asked him we'd like to have that menu and order. HOWEVER, he said," sorry, we do not have that menu"
HAAH~~~~~how come!? so wierd!! I just saw it before I came in. Then I told him, "there's a menu outside the shop stated that it is a hoilday promotion" He still didn't believe me," that is not for tea time, only for dinner time." Then he said he brought in the menu to let me see.
Ok, when he came back with the menu, he pointed to the "6pm" on the statement "it is available TILL 6pm on weekend" and told me,"see, it is only available AT 6pm" OH MY GOD!!! I really can't believe!! He didn't know the meaning of "TILL"!!!Then I told him" but here's saying it is available TILL 6pm...." he asked me to wait
then a captain or manager came and took order for us.
After order, he set the table for us. But we didn't have a sidedish for bread and even no napkins!!! only cuteries!!!
of coz, no sidedish, no foccacia!!!
We didn't ask for the missing stuff, we'd like to see when they would give to us.
Finally, the answer is NO. But I really wanted to try the bread and the oild and vinegar. So we pretended to be curious about the oil.Then the captain/manager noticed and he brought us some foccacia AFTER tea/ coffee.
I am not attacking anybody, but just I am quite disappointed becoz as a waiter in such high graded resaturant, he should not make such mistakes. It looks very minor, but I can feel that he is not professional. First, he didn't know about the promotion. Second, He's english level is really not capable to handle foreign customers.Third, he doesn't not know the importance of service recovery, and even did some mistake again (about the table setting)
I am really happy with the food there, but very sad about the service. We did not questioned them about the mistakes, then they just ignored it.
