Great spot for date night

Although I'm a regular when it comes to happy hour at Lily but I've never had a chance to dine at Bloom. Although I'm a regular when it comes to happy hour at Lily but I've never had a chance to dine at Bloom. With a friend's recommendation we decided to pick this place for our dinner for double date night. 

I really love the ambience at Bloom, it's dim (so you always look flattering) and it doesn't come off as too empty or crowded on a wednesday night. 

I started off with a COFFEE COCKTAIL #2 containing: hennessey vsop, grahams port, spiced coffee, aromatic bitters, orange blossom water and egg. The glass is deceptively small and strong, giving a good kick before the appetizers arrived. It also helped to wake me up after a long day's work.

(appetizer) CEDAR RIVER BEEF TARTARE with quail egg, smoked egg dressing, truffle oil, avocado, bread crisp -- must try and possibly favorite dish of the night, so good we ordered 2 lol

 (main) CARROT-MISO BLACK COD with asparagus, grilled maitake mushrooms -- Fish is tender and sauce was paired great. Only wish fish is bigger cuz each bite was so precious! =P

 (dessert) (FOR TWO) with candied macadamia nuts, vanilla pistachio ice cream -- good, not too sweet and the portion is HUGE...more like dessert to share for 6 people instead of 2 haha, it was a pleasant surprise because we are all dessert lovers at the table

 Finished the meal off with one more cocktail called Mad Hatter. It was not on the Bloom menu but recommended by our waitor. Forgot what was in it but it was delicious! Loved the super cute teacups it came in as well, they should definitely add this as a regular item on the menu!

 Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Vibe was good and food was good. I would recommend this place for any couples looking for a new place to try on date night. The waitor also told us that they do buy 1 get 1 free mains on Mondays so we are thinking of revisiting Bloom soon on a Monday!
Other Info. : Save room for dessert!
