Carbone is one of my go to places for good pasta, chill 1950s New York vibes, and a nice glass of wine. I enjoy the vibe here, friendly service, warm colors deco with comfortable sofas, family style tablecloth, music, and chatters. I loved coming here after a long week at work, to have a nice relaxing dinner, and chat over a glass of wine with friends. A great way to kick start the weekend! One of the best things here is the warm breadbasket, WARM being the key! Most places will give you a breadbasket that is room temperature or even cold. To me, this shows that they care about the quality of their food and it is always a good sign. They also give you a plate of parmesan cheese to munch on, that makes me so happy!

Of course, they have amazing food, and that is why I keep coming back. I tried this tuna dish for the first time, I thought it was not as impressive as their other dishes, but it is of good quality, fresh tuna with pickled eggplant at the bottom, it was surprisingly refreshing.

Meatballs! One of the main reason I come to Carbone! These meatballs are SO GOOD. They are not too dense, light and airy with good quality meat, covered with a layer of tangy tomato puree sauce, which balanced well with the fattiness of the meatball.

This spicy rigatoni vodka is their signature dish, and it is one of my favorite! This dish is so full of flavor! It might be too salty to some but I love it, I like my food more flavored and complex! This is not too spicy but has just a hint of it to enhance the flavor, along with a rich and thick creamy tomato base sauce with homemade al dente rigatoni. I get this dish every time I come and it is always good!

Oh the homemade lemoncello! This drink is offered at the end of dinner, and the first time I had it, I did not know how to feel. It is a very sweet drink but it is also very strong! Our server smiled when he saw our faces after the first sip. I have started liking it after a few tries and it is now one of the things I look forward to!
By the way, their tiramisu is amazing too, I did not take a picture of it this time but they are delicious!
Carbone is not cheap, and the portions are relatively small, but I still think their quality makes up for it, and the vibe makes it worth it.
