I often go here when I want to go somewhere less hustling to enjoy some dainty food without having to pay a huge price. Similar restaurants around this area are hard to find now."Cha Charn Tang"s in Hong Kong are no longer cheap nowadays, don't you think? But to have food as delicate and tasty is a rarity. (Eeven the famous one that opens almost 24 hours in LKF is quite costly for the deep fried frozen food they offering us.) I love their Hoinan chicken rice, with the chicken soft and tender and juicy with real fresh chicken flavour. Their Vietnam raw beef noodles (pho) are also wonderful, with the high-class beef oozing with its own beefy juice in a wonderfully brewed Vietnamese soup base. The soup base is incredible, as good as the ones in the Pho places in North America which one just cannot find anywhere in HK!
It's about $50 per head, not the cheapest for just a plate of rice or a bowl of noodles that take you at most 30 minutes to finish, but good enough for the quality and the serenity that accompany the meal.
