Couldn't stop myself from finishing my super late lunch with a dessert. I ordered a lychee and rise mousse cake. My attention was already drawn by the girly-looking cake as I walked in. Look-wise, it's simply brilliant, I think. Simple and girly in my favorite blush pink. But texture-wise, the mousse and gelatin glaze were too stiff. It does tasted rosy, but the sweetness and rose-ness have largely smothered the lychee taste (although there's lychee purée inside). The sponge at the bottom was too coarse as well. You'll like it if you're happy with anything sweet. But you'll be disappointed if you're expecting a mousse version of Pierre Herme's Ispahan.
