Soup curry is something I love to have every so often. There used to be a place in Sheung Wan that served this and I always went when the weather got cooler but it had long since closed. This is when I read about this place hidden away in Kwun Tong. Called 森.湯咖哩 (English name: Mori), it's about a 10 minute walk from APM. It opened in the evening and there was already a stream of people heading in.  It was as popular as rumor had it.Inside was spacious with an interesting drawing on the wall. The

The menu is shown in Chinese but the QR code menu is in both English and Chinese. You order by a QR code ordering system and you must pay first either at the cashier when you show them your order or through the QR code system with credit card. They also have a 20% discount on all orders. I'm unsure how long this promotion will last. They basically serve more than just soup curry. They also serve udon along with tomato soup noodles and satay soup noodles. There is also a wide variety of choices for toppings. They also offered kakigori but apparently these were sold out for the day! I guess it is very popular here.

While we were waiting, we ordered two drinks: Pineapple Lemon Soda ($30, on the left) and Kyoho Soda ($30, on the right). Sweet syrup mixed with Sprite.

All orders of mains can add on snacks for a discounted price. So we ordered two snacks. The first is the Squid Roll ($18). Nicely seared and surprisingly had a long piece of squid in the center.

Vegetable Fish Cake ($18) was our other snack. Panfried very well, there was a nice bit of fish flavour.

I had the Pan Seared Shrimp Tomato Soup Udon ($68) because I was worried the curry might be spicy as there wasn't a choice of baby spicy like I usually order in other places. But I'm glad I did order the tomato soup as it was really good. Very thick and savory. Loads of tomato flavour. The were 5 big fresh prawns that were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Half an egg was provided where the yolk was not over done. The udon was also not soggy and over cooked.

Boyfriend had the Hoikkaido Scallop Soup Curry ($110.40) and asked for small amount of spice. And yes, the small amount is fairly spicy. There was a huge mound of rice as well.

The curry was fragrant. Plenty of fresh vegetables that were good quality. The scallops were also nicely cooked.

For $10, you can make this a set with an appetizer with a glass of  green tea. The appetizer was sticky sweet dried squid and fish.

An interesting little find with plenty to choose from. Prices were fairly  reasonable and a good option if we were thinking of what ot eat in this area.
