We came here during lunch time on a weekday and the restaurant was a welcome discovery atop the busy LKF. The restaurant was spacious and comfortable, and we were lucky enough to get a window table looking down the street. The place was not noisy despite the relaxing atmosphere probably because there was plenty of space between tables. The only drawback was from the outside –the smoky chimney extending from the building right across the street was a disturbing view.

The buffet included, well, a buffet, a drink and a main course. There were not too many choices on the buffet table, and only a number of dishes were noteworthy. The salad with duck breast and papaya was an especially refreshing starter. The bread on offer was ordinary, but the butter was really good –I wonder which brand it was –and we wanted more bread just because of that. A server was kind enough to help us carry the pumpkin soup, a nice touch to the buffet experience. The main course was a choice between curry beef with mashed potatoes and pasta with asparagus. I tried the pasta because I love asparagus but the combination felt like a mac and cheese. Bear my poor food knowledge as I didn't recognize the kind of pasta, but I was sure about one thing: I hated it. I would be much happier if they could just simply use macaroni instead (with bigger asparagus may be?).

The staff was friendly but not always available. We waved our hands hard. It was also quite pricy for a brunch-like buffet. While not entirely comparable, I would much rather prefer a sumptuous American-style buffet in Soho, at half the price.
