I generally have used Openrice just to read reviews, never to write any. However, my late lunch / tea set spurred me to open an account and write a review just to warn others and express my disappointment with MatchToo Cafe.I went to have a late lunch / tea and noticed they serve Eggs Benedict, which is one of my favourite breakfast dishes. I went to have a late lunch / tea and noticed they serve Eggs Benedict, which is one of my favourite breakfast dishes. Extremely hungry, I waited for a short while only the be served a cold dish? I was just so dumbfounded that the restaurant would serve eggs benedict cold with salad. This was a faux pas like no other. Also there were big chunks of onion under the egg. In addition, the two muffins with cold eggs on top of them were served with salad thus soaking the muffins with vinaigre based salad dressing. This was definitely the most disgusting meal I have had in 2014.
Although usually I keep my displease to myself, this time I actually had to ask the manager what they were thinking and he told me he had already asked the chefs to change the dish with no avail.
I have visited Matchtoo cafe before and earlier had no beef (no pun intended) with them, but this was a disappointment that earned them the "not in a thousand years" -badge.
