For many years there have been long lines outside this restaurants with people just waiting to get a table..I've never really understood why..probably because there's not much other decent choice in the area. For many years there have been long lines outside this restaurants with people just waiting to get a table..I've never really understood why..probably because there's not much other decent choice in the area. Since the Vietnamese restaurant opened next door earlier in the year, the lines have disappeared. So now on to the food, and why I've never understood the long lines:

shanghai dumpling: these are way too big to put in your mouth in 1 go, and the dumpling basically tears apart when you try to put it on your spoon. It's not even an average shanghai dumpling..the taste is below average for all these reasons.

string beans with minced pork: this is ok. the taste is nice but the whole dish is very oily. the only way to balance this is with rice.

sliced mutton with scallion: the taste is ok but its really oily. need rice to balance it out!

pork ribs with pepper & salt: these were barely edible (at least for me). they were undercooked, a lot of parts were still very red and there was a lot of fat on it. i didn't really taste the pepper & salt.
