I love Hana Musubi. It's one of those fast take away places that focus on omusubi for a very inexpensive price. The perfect little healthy take away meal.Hana Musubi is always strategically located in areas like MTR stations for people on the go. I walked by this branch and saw they had strawberry daifuku! The strawberry daifuku costs $25. It's packaged in a sturdy little plastic container. It was pretty big and fit in the palm of my hand. The mochi was soft and lightly sweet. The strawberry was fresh and so sweet, it was like sugar. It was wrapped with a thin layer of azuki paste. I like it and made for a nice snack break. I also bought a little square of matcha cake for $15. This was also sold in a sturdy plastic container. The cake was three layers. Top being a matcha sponge, middle a matcha paste and the bottom a matcha short bread base. It was a strong matcha taste that I love but tasted a bit like those matcha cakes I usually buy at souvenier gift shops in Japan when I'm picking up gifts for coworkers. Really nice sweet break. So, I guess this place is not just for meals but dessert as well.
