There seemed to be a hype about the rainbow cake and other over-the-top looking cakes at C'est la B a while ago.Went for a tea set for 2 ($420+10%, 2 cups of drinks included). The quality was indeed mediocre. The panna cotta cups were obviously not properly formulated/ stored, they looked so watery! The chocolate one tasted alright but the others were not that impressive.
For the savory items, apart from the penne pastry which was the only adequately seasoned items, the others are virtually negligible.
For the cakes, only the poppy seed lemon cake was above average but the flavor was still on the artificial side… not sure if real lemon juice was used or not.
Given it's posh interior with fancy lights and furniture, it's a good photograph opportunity. Frankly speaking the tea set was not expensive but the food quality doesn't live up to its price and reputation.
