When my Mum first visit Shishaya in 1985...a dinner takes her whole month's wage!!

27 years on, Shishaya has certainty declined, which is disappointing.

Nevertheless, it's my first visit to Shishaya. yet I don't see any difference from other Japanese cuisines other than its interior decoration maybe slightly more Japanese, and, depressingly, vintage.

The food...I don't see and taste any difference from other Japanese cuisines, yet not a disgrace but not particular great. I can only comment that visit Shishaya for it's history, might be the interior decoration, but certaintly not the food.

Finally, the downside of Shishaya is that I have to book well early and in person!!
