Definitely a feast at this Singaporean/ Malaysian restaurant. Brought along Ms Golden-tongued to enjoy the Set Menu for Two. The portion was huge and if you are ladies with smaller appetite, this set is definitely enough to feed four of you. We were seated at the window side, and the views were superb- greeneries with the garden and sunshine outside. This set included five dishes, add-on charges for drinks. We tried the basic drinks ($5 for each): iced Malay milk tea and iced lemon tea, less sweet, both are good and can quench your thirst.

Ms Golden-tongued liked the seafood laksa the most. The prawns were fresh and the squid was crunchy. The soup was just a little spicy with little bit of chopped Chillies. Noodles of your choice. Toppings also included fish cakes, cilantro and tofu puffs.

My favourite was the satay beef skewers. Really yummy cos it’s not the dry style. The beef came with a little fat and it’s a nice touch. Plus they served the skewers on a fancy bamboo tray.

The signature Bak Kut Teh is served in a stone pot. Huge amount of spareribs, well-soaked up with the soup, and very tender. The broth base was quite sweet, with strong herbs and spices. Came with tofu puffs, mushrooms and rice.

The salted chicken is flavoured with sand ginger powder. Very tender, smooth and the skin is thin. Again, the portion is huge.

The rice is Japanese pearl grains I believe. Paired quite well with the dishes surprisingly. Vegetables were Bak Choi cooked in medicinal sauce, can taste the herbal/ medicine with strong cooking wine flavours.

Both the exterior and interior are designed like the street/ food centre in Singapore/ Malaysia. It’s extremely phenomenal. There are bigger round tables as well, so medium-size gatherings could also be catered. Staff are highly friendly and helpful.

Too much food for two. Should have taken two more hungry souls to join our meal. That’s a heartfelt advice.
