Not my first time at Pici, but it was my first time at the TST branch. Service was hit or miss. There was maybe one young lady who looked like she enjoyed her job and seemed to know what she was doing. Everyone else was either clueless or lifeless. This is disappointing, because I feel that service is always good at Pirata group restaurants. However, the service here was very un-Pirata like.Bread and starters came promptly but our pastas took almost 40 minutes to arrive. When we asked the staff
Bread and starters came promptly but our pastas took almost 40 minutes to arrive. When we asked the staff to check on our food (because we had a movie to catch), we were first told that it would be just 5 more minutes. 5 minutes later, still no pasta, so we asked again- this time, a different staff comes to tell us that this is the expected wait time at Pici because all pastas are made to order. I immediately thought of all the times where this was not the case because I certainly did not have to wait this long at the other branches. Oh well. By then I already knew there was no way we could make the movie in time and I was feeling defeated so I didn’t bother to challenge the staff. Being a Karen won’t help me time travel - if only!

Eventually the pastas were finally served but they were just meh. Pork ragu and eggplant ravioli were okay, but taglioni truffle was way too salty. Maybe this is also ~to be expected at Pici~ (no, the answer is no)
We were in a hurry, so I asked for the bill to be brought along with the dessert. Dessert comes quick, but no bill. Maybe this is also Pici style~
Finished the dessert and asked for the bill the second time. Bill comes but with a glaring mistake - they only charged us for the drinks but forgot to charge us for the brunch. As tempting as it was to quietly pay the bill and walk off with what would have essentially been a free brunch, I instead alerted their staff about this and they fixed their mistake with no apology, barely any words (remember what I said about the service here?), and absolutely no appreciation or gratitude.
All I could think of was how some people say there is no true altruistic act because people only do good things to feel good. I really felt that because I did a good thing, and didn’t feel good at all. Maybe I am too nice. I’ve been told before that being nice isn’t a good thing. Lesson learned!
Coming here was waste of time and money. I will not be returning to this branch.
