Today, I visited the Macau restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui with Mum and my sister. We came across this restaurant on the street and the humongous pineapple buns and Portuguese tarts that are on display had immediately drawn our attention. Despite it being a crowded and busy place, we had no difficulty in finding a seat. The diner had the atmosphere of a local tea restaurant, crammed and noisy, yet warm and pleasant. Decor:
Just plain traditional Hong Kong tea restaurant mood and atmosphere. Crowded yet comfortable. Reasonably spaced seats.
Service:
The waiters were not particularly polite and attentive but the service was normal and quick on the account of it being a tea restaurant.
Taste:
Portuguese Egg Tarts-The tarts were a bit of a disappointment. Although their crust was flaky and light, almost to perfection, I would prefer more sugar on the top. As it was just so little, it tasted like a simple egg tart.
