Sip Song is a Thai restaurant located at Repulse Bay that has really great ambience and delicious food. They got a wide variety of Thai dishes on the menu and all the dishes I ordered were surprisingly decent and yummy!

PHAD SEE EW ($155)

The thai rice noodle has a really nice texture and is really smooth and chewy. The noodle is fried in a black soy sauce that is slightly sweet and very fragrant and rich. The noodle coats and absorbs the sauce perfectly. The rice noodle has beef, broccoli and mushrooms as toppings. The veggies were fresh. What surprised me the most would be the hanger steak. The dish came with a generous amount of steak that was spiced well and charcoal grilled. The steak was incredibly flavourful and tender.

GAI SATAY ($85)

Saw lots of positive reviews about the chicken satay skewers of Sip Song but it slightly disappointed me. The chicken was a bit overcooked and the meat was a bit toughened. However, the chicken is nicely marinated with a decent smoky flavour. The satay sauce is also well-balanced with a salty-sweet flavour. I especially enjoyed how they garnished the sauce with lemon grass and spices, yummy!

KEAW WAAN GAI ($145)

The green curry chicken is another decent surprise! The curry has a perfect combination of sweet and savory spices, it is really fragrant and delicious. Apart from the chicken, baby eggplants were also added to the curry. It has added some natural sweetness and freshness to the dish. I find the sauce really appetising and tasty, finished a roti and a bowl of rice with the sauce in the speed of light!

KAO NEAW MA MUANG ($85)

We finished the dinner with our favourite dessert at all times, the legendary mango sticky rice! The sticky rice is served warm, with a distinctly chewy texture. The sticky rice is topped with slices of really sweet Thai Mango and a coconut cream sauce. What a heavenly combination.

Would definitely head back to the restaurant to try out other traditional thai dishes next time and would definitely like to sit in their semi-outdoor seating area next time when the weather is not so hot and stuffy.
