Sandwiches are so common and basic yet people have a super hype about Hung Rui Chen 🥪🧀, which was launched in Hong Kong last year. With its rapid expansion, Times Square and Sheung Shui Centre became its sixth and seventh branch in a span of just over a year’s time, it has always kept me wondering its appeal🤔.Was there at 7:15pm where the staff told me that it had all sold out, and the next batch would only arrive at 8 pm .Had a quick shop around and returned at 8:30 to find that most of

Had a quick shop around and returned at 8:30 to find that most of the items have been sold out so got their HK exclusive Mandarin Orange 🍊, Mango 🥭 cheese as well as their No. 1 bestseller - ham 🥓 and cheese 🍔.
The packaging was super simple and basic yet made me full of anticipation 😝😝, Since all the flavours looked quite alike, the main way to tell the difference is through the food label at the back.
Applies to all their sandwiches, it is made up of four slices triangle bread, which is then sandwiched with 3 layers of filling, the jam/curd/spread/marmalade in the top and bottom layer, with the added cheese slice in the middle.
The bread was super fluffy and soft, if you hold it or press the sandwich with a bit of force, the bread will just soften and your finger marks will even retain 😅😅.
The spread is quite good also, though the spread doesn’t seem to be too thick, it compliments the bread perfectly, and the combo between the cheese and sweetness of the jam turned out to be great🤩🤩!
