I read a few positive reviews on this site, so we decided to give this restaurant a try as we were in the area. It was extremely disappointing, from the quality of the food to the staff service. I have doubts on whether the owner and chef really knows anything about Italian food. You can only choose from one of several set lunches. I ordered a glass of chardonnay to get started. It came straight from their wine fridge but it was not even close to being cold. I mentioned it wasn't cold but the staff said it was the coldest temperature the fridge could be: 16 degrees. 16??? Hello!?!? Chardonnay needs to be served much colder than that!
"Prawn soup": when we asked what the soup of the day was, the waitress said something along the lines of "prawn soup"? I couldn't really understand her very well as the way she said prawn sounded like clam. So I asked if it was clam chowder and she said yes. Imagine our surprise when the soup arrive...it was a straight up fish soup! The staff should really know what is on the menu. Taste was ok.
Seafood risotto: extremely dry, the few pieces of seafood (1 mussel, 1 scallop, a few shrimps perhaps) were probably defrosted that morning. I had a few bites and that was enough.
Linguini with bacon/broccoli/ cream sauce: average taste, but the broccoli was replaced with cucumber. I asked what happened with the broccoli, and the staff said that they ran out of it in the morning so replaced it with cucumber. A bad replacement..just because it is also a vegetable and green? The cream sauce dried up very quickly and it was just a very average dish.
Overal it was very disappointing. We won't return there, and do not recommend it.
