【OpenRice Best Restaurant 2023】 Terms and Conditions

By taking part in the OpenRice Best Restaurant 2023 voting, you confirm that you have read and understood, and agreed with the following terms and conditions (OpenRice reserves the right to amend or cancel any of the terms and conditions without prior notice, except for the “Best Restaurant 2023 Lucky Draw”)
  1. OpenRice Best Restaurant 2023 (this “Event”) is organized by OpenRice (the “Company”)
  2. All participants must be aged 18 or above and hold a valid Hong Kong Identity Card.
  3. Membership of OpenRice is mandatory to qualify for this event(If the participant is not an OpenRice member, he/she can enroll for free at here.)
  4. The Company reserves the right to disqualify any participants and their votes for any suspected vote fraud or vote manipulation.
  5. The entire voting period is from March 30, 2023 to May 3, 2023 (both dates inclusive).
  6. The finalists in Cuisine Category are selected on the following criteria:

  9. Voting categories are: Cuisine Category, Online Booking Category, Takeaway Category and New Restaurant Category, with a total of 54 votes.

  10. First 3000 participants who have completed all votes under Cuisine Category, Online Booking Category, Takeaway Category and New Restaurant Category, with a total of 54 votes, will be awarded 500 OpenRice Points (equivalent to Rice Dollars $50), available on a first-come-first-served basis. Each participant can only get the above reward once based on the time of submitting the last vote recorded at the OpenRice system.
    Bonus rewards will be automatically insert into the member's account in terms of OpenRice Points within 10 weeks after the whole event ends without prior notice.

【Best Restaurant 2023 Lucky Draw 】 Terms and Conditions


【Tier 1】
  1. During the voting period, participants who have completed any ONE vote will be eligible and automatically qualified for the lucky draw; he/she might win the 【Tier 1 Prizes】. Prizes include:：

  2. The Company reserves the final decision rights, in case of any dispute regarding the value of the prizes of “Best Restaurant 2023 Lucky Draw”
Participation Method
  1. The entire voting period is from March 30, 2023 to May 3, 2023 (both dates inclusive).
  2. Voting categories are: Cuisine Category, Online Booking Category, Takeaway Category and New Restaurant Category, with a total of 54 votes.

  3. Each participant has the opportunity to win both the "Tier 1 Prizes" and " Tier 2 Prizes"; and the options voted by the participant will not affect the chances of the lucky draw.
  4. The Company reserves the right to disqualify any participants and their votes for any suspected vote fraud or vote manipulation without prior notice and explanation.
  5. Repeat voters will be disqualified. If information provided by any participant is false or inaccurate, the participant will be disqualified.
Eligibility
  1. All participants must be aged 18 or above and hold a valid Hong Kong Identity Card.
  2. Membership of OpenRice is mandatory to qualify for this event(If the participant is not an OpenRice member, he/she can enroll for free at here.)
  3. The information provided by the participants cannot be changed and all information will be based on the registered records. Inaccurate, incomplete or re-entered information will be considered invalid and the participant will be disqualified without prior notice.
  4. The Company will not be responsible or liable for any total or partial data transmission failure or delay, distortion, error or omission, and the loss thereby incurred.
  5. If a participant is found to have used a fake account or any form of intrusion and/or modification of computer programs to participate in the Event, the Company reserves the right to cancel the participant's participation and/or eligibility for the prize at any time without prior notice and explanation, and the right of legal recourse against the participant, and the participant shall bear all related responsibilities and consequences.
  6. Employees of Openrice Limited will not be eligible to participate in this Event.
Lucky Draw Announcement and Prizes Collection
  1. The winners of the “Best Restaurant 2023 Lucky Draw” will be randomly drawn by computer on June 2, 2023 and the result announcement of both the “Tier 1”and “Tier 2”will be published in Sing Tao Daily and The Standard, OpenRice website and OpenRice Facebook page on June 9, 2023.
  2. Under any of the following circumstances, the Lucky Draw winner will be deemed as forfeited without prior notice, and there will be no back-up lucky draw arrangement in this case.
    - No reply is received from the winner within 7 working days after email notification；
    - Winner has failed to comply with the 【Best Restaurant 2023】terms and conditions.
  3. Winner will be notified by email with prize redemption details within 10 working days upon their reply.
  4. The Company will not be responsible for any inaccurate or incorrect information provided by the participants, which may result in the winners not receiving the prize notification, prize details or prizes.
  5. Winner has to comply with the terms and condition of the respective product or service provider(s). OpenRice shall not be responsible for any obligations and liabilities in relation to the product or service provided by the respective product or service provider(s).
  6. Winner must hold a valid Hong Kong resident identity card. If the winner fails to show the identification document during the redemption process, the Lucky Draw winner will be deemed as forfeited without prior notice. The Company will not arrange any back-up lucky draw.
  7. Winner must follow OpenRice’s arrangement on prize redemption, otherwise it will be considered as a forfeit.
  8. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
  9. The Company will not make any compensation if the prize is damaged, lost or stolen after the prize redemption.
  10. OpenRice points and Asia Miles will be credited to winners’ membership account within 10 weeks after the announcement of the result without prior notice.
“Asia Miles”
  1. To win the Asia Miles, participants must connect their Asia Miles account to OpenRice on or before June 23, 2023 (Connect Asia Miles Account). If they are yet the member of Asia Miles, they may apply for free membership on www.asiamiles.com .
  2. Every OpenRice account can only link to one Asia Mile account.
  3. All miles will only be rewarded if the Asia miles members link their accounts before June 23, 2023. Late submission will not be entertained.
  4. All miles reward is not transferable or exchangeable.
  5. The Company will not be responsible for any incorrect information of the connected Asia Miles account, which may result in the failure of the corresponding miles being credited to the Asia Miles account.
  6. Asia Miles will be credited to winners’ membership account within 10 weeks after the announcement of the result without prior notice.
Controversy
  1. This Event and its Terms and Conditions are governed by the relevant laws. These terms and conditions shall be constructed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.
  2. In case of any disputes, the decision of the Company shall be final.
  3. Apple Inc. or Google has no relationship with this Event, they are not participants or sponsors, nor do they endorse or promote this Event.
Others
  1. By participating in this Event, participants will be deemed to have consented to the transfer of personal information (including but not limited to participant's name, phone number, and/or email address) from OpenRice to the relevant company for prize redemption and identity verification purposes.
  2. The pictures published on the event promotional materials are for reference only and the actual respective product(s) shall prevail.
  3. If there is any inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of these Terms and Conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
