Cafe hopping happens to be an irresistible hobby once I truly learn how to enjoy dining solo and reading in serenity. The place: Located in the Shek Tong Tsui neighbourhood, Ethos is not perfectly accessible as one has to climb up the slope of Hill Road. Fortunately, seeing the beautiful and stylish decoration is worth every bit of the energy. What first came into sight was the remarkably high ceiling, together with neatly arranged tables that added up to a sense of simplicity.The entire place was painted in pale grey tone, accompanied by wooden bar tables and silver metal chairs. I adored how fresh air and sunshine flew in generously from the open windows, suggesting an alfresco dining scene. Early at 11 a.m., there was only one customer apart from me. I almost ravenously made the cafe my private office. A staff ushered me to the table facing the road. I considered the position the best in the cafe, as it was quiet and offered a view.
The food: What was more, I felt so happy and complete savoring Ethos's signature all day breakfast!

Not only beautifully presented, but it was super fresh and yummy! A few highlights would be: the warm toast was crispy, the beacon and sausages tasted so good with honey, and the portion was sufficient. One should be so content starting off the morning with such a satisfying breakfast! It was a pity that I was too full to order any drinks.

The people: the staff were all very helpful. They paid attention to customers' needs, I got help with accessing the wifi network, and the food arrived very quickly to stop me from starving. The staff told me I could sit for a long time if no one was in the queue. How considerate!

Conclusion: I would highly recommend the place if you plan to chill out alone or with one to two friends. The relaxing ambiance can undoubtedly brighten up your day. Pricing is high, but to randomly drop in would be affordable.
