Ok, so I just popped out with a friend to grab what was meant to be a "quick" take away lunch as I was busy at work and it ended with a nightmarish 50min wait for a banh mi sandwich. For a sandwich. Seriously? And the place wasn't even busy. And they had the nerve to say it was our fault they were slow. OMG!
So we arrived at the restaurant before the lunch hour rush and the place wasn't even busy. And we were told please wait 20mins. I gave my friend a funny look, but we accepted it and went and say outside. Slowly as the place began to fill and other patrons were getting their food before us we began to question?
My friend and I went in a few times after the 20 mins was up to ask where were our banh mi sandwiches? Only to be told. Another 5 mins. Another 10 mins. Another 5 mins. By this point we were hungry, we were late for our meeting and they kept making excuses. A one armed man could make a sandwich father than these clowns.
I'm a bit baffled. It's a sandwich. You put stuff in it and close it. Simple. Clearly not so simple for the 3 kitchen staff who were busy not doing much every time we went into take a look. They were really good at standing around. If that's a compliment.
Then the excuses from the manager came thick n fast. The best one being that they needed to heat the bread for 40 mins. The manager even had the nerve to suggest other patrons had to wait for their because the staff were focused on making our sandwich. This is when my friend and I lost it and started telling the manager that she should re-think her customer service.
Needless to say, 50 mins later we got our sandwiches. No apology. The bread was cold. We were hungry. We missed our work meeting and now I get to share this terrible experience to let other diners know not to endure the same pain.
DO NOT EAT HERE!
