早前友人送了盒購自鰂魚涌、一間網上餅店的「鹽漬櫻花慕絲蛋糕」給我,品嘗過後,覺得這裡的蛋糕,不但外表漂亮,而且味道出眾,教人吃得心花怒放。近日獲友人告知,餅店剛推出了一款「芝」味誘人的紐約芝士撻,另加 7 款不同口味的迷你芝士撻,從友人傳來的相片,見這芝士撻系列以一大七小造型為設計,驟眼看彷如中秋的七星伴月,賣相吸睛,反正兒子是 cheese tart 的擁躉,就一於訂一 set 和家人齊齊分享先得!先講吓作為核心的紐約芝士撻,其實這這個芝士餅 size 唔算好大,只有大約 4 吋的大小,不過捧起來卻相當墜手。至於賣相方面,望落去偏向簡樸,沒有多重的層次感,既平實又唔花巧。切開一試,芝士的質感雖然不算很軟滑,但味道香濃,而且吃起來不會顯得厚重膩口,加上個餅底和圍著個 cheese tart 的餅邊,入口帶著濃濃的牛油香氣,令人吃得非常滿足。至於核心外圍的 7 款迷你芝士撻,口味就包括有特濃朱古力、菠蘿椰子、黑芝麻、花生 Caramel、綠茶、果醬白朱古力及藍莓。很喜歡這幾個迷你芝士撻,外形夠曬小巧的骰,賣相可愛,絕對是相機先食,放上網吸讚之作。整體來說,其實幾款迷你芝士撻的味道都唔錯,

先講吓作為核心的紐約芝士撻,其實這這個芝士餅 size 唔算好大,只有大約 4 吋的大小,不過捧起來卻相當墜手。至於賣相方面,望落去偏向簡樸,沒有多重的層次感,既平實又唔花巧。切開一試,芝士的質感雖然不算很軟滑,但味道香濃,而且吃起來不會顯得厚重膩口,加上個餅底和圍著個 cheese tart 的餅邊,入口帶著濃濃的牛油香氣,令人吃得非常滿足。

至於核心外圍的 7 款迷你芝士撻,口味就包括有特濃朱古力、菠蘿椰子、黑芝麻、花生 Caramel、綠茶、果醬白朱古力及藍莓。很喜歡這幾個迷你芝士撻,外形夠曬小巧的骰,賣相可愛,絕對是相機先食,放上網吸讚之作。整體來說,其實幾款迷你芝士撻的味道都唔錯,兒子最愛就是特濃朱古力,說淺啡色的餡料切開雖然沒呈流心狀,但吃起來口感幼滑,而且富濃郁的巧克力甜香,美味度令人無法抗拒!

而老公就最愛黑芝麻和藍莓,讚前者面層的芝麻餡料夠香濃,入口好似品嘗緊芝麻糊咁,加上鬆化得來又夠香脆的撻皮,平衡了芝麻給人膩口的感覺,食味不俗。而後者藍莓芝士撻,入口微甜帶酸,食落好 fresh,唔講仲以為自己食緊藍莓芝士雪糕添。

至於筆者,最愛當然就是花生 Caramel,面層古銅色的鏡面焦糖漿,甜度適中,而且花生粒食落都算幾脆口,不過如果可以再灑上少許杏仁碎片,相信食味會更佳。另外綠茶芝士撻,味道都唔錯,除咗撻底夠香脆外,入口帶微甘的綠茶香,與濃郁的芝士簡直是絕配,就算食多幾個都無問題。反而令人有點期待的菠蘿椰子,吃起來菠蘿味略欠突出,幸好入口帶淡淡椰香;而果醬白朱古力就甜而不膩,總算沒浪費 Quota。

聽友人講,原來這款「鹽漬櫻花慕絲蛋糕」只是 $30 件,如果訂夠 4 件的話就 $108,8 件 $200,12 件或以上則 8 折,不過就要到餅店鰂魚涌工場自取,等我明天回寫字樓都問吓同事是否有興趣先。

飯聚時,友人H各給了我們兩小包雜錦曲奇。今日,下午茶時段,泡杯茶,食曲奇也。最前面的,是咖啡果仁曲奇,入口味道不太討好,且有陣苦味;中間長條狀開心果脆餅,乃六款中最好吃的,夠香且脆,且夾雜不少的開心果粒;最後的牛油柚子曲奇,看似平平無奇,卻混入了清香的柚子碎粒,且夠鬆化,坐亞望季也﹗最左手邊的,是密度高,牛油味不夠清香的牛油曲奇;接著,是偏甜了的果醬夾餅;燕麥果仁曲奇既具咬口,又香甜味美,穩守阿二寶座也。

To be honest, the only cake I know how to make is fairy cakes with a cherry or icing on top.At IE, they have cream cake classes featuring lovely cakes.I chose the green tea cake because the piping looked fancy and it was intriguing to know how it was done.Before the cake was piped, we baked a huge rectangular slab of chocolate cake and used a round cutter ring to press out three slices.The green tea buttercream was made by folding beaten egg white into butter and adding green tea powder.Green te

Went to a friends house warming so got some treats for them.I didn't want to get some lame cakes or stuff that you can get anywhere so went here.I got some pizzas, fruit tarts and cheesecakes which were really affordable because the pizza was only $20 and the tarts were $18.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆Macaroni and cheese pie:I thought this was a quiche but they said it was macaroni and cheese pie.The filling was satisying with pasta twists in creamy cheese sauce.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆Salami pizza:The salami pizza

Basically the fruit tarts are the same but with different fruits.

I loved the lemon tart because it was sweet with a hint of lemon tartness.

Event一開首的cooking section,大廚Heinz Fischer講解和示範德國傳統手造麵little spaetzli的製法.主要材料有麵粉,小麥粉,雞蛋和牛奶;作法簡單,烹調時間又短,無疑是聰明的安排,至少賓客不會被冗長複雜的菜譜弄至頭昏腦脹,未開始飲酒就頭暈暈鳥.
步入主題的New Arrival White Asparagus Cuisine,其實只有一道菜是專誠由德國訂來的白蘆筍,其餘五道菜都沒有這個元素.

春天是享用德國白蘆筍的季節,每年由四月中旬至六月尾供應,是晚以最Classic方式處理:牛油鹽糖加進沸水中poaching廿分鐘左右,伴以smoked ham的咸香去提鮮,diced almond增加crunchy口感,最後㵉上hollandaise.襯以Grof Degenfeld Furmint Off-dry white 2013(味道跟Riesling接近),微甜花香,跟蘆筍的清幽很是匹配.

Third course- Hungarian Goulash Soup Breadstick (Beef Shin)
匈牙利湯,從前是草原牧民傳統料理,現在是national dish也是國家象徵.主要成份有牛小腿,蔬菜,薯仔,caraway seed葛縷子和paprika;湯的特點是含有豐富collagen,以慢火烹調,薯仔的starch令到湯變得濃稠幼滑,不需加上麵粉或roux去做thickening.個人認為這個湯很濃郁美味,沒有半點欺塲,十分可口的誠意之作!

Spaetzli意思是小麻雀,日耳曼民族傳統蛋麵,以特製疏孔工具去製作;很喜歡其細細粒彈牙口感,有趣味又好玩.Beef Strognaoff是十九世紀中葉的俄國菜,五十年代傳至香港後,成為每家茶餐廳都有的俄國牛柳絲,牛柳絲通常採用tenderloin末端的filet mignon.今趟大廚的版本是加入茄汁,洋蔥,紅辣椒,白酒燴煑好後,上碟加少許酸忌廉..牛肉煑得很稔,也很入味,配以麵仔,我可以吃完整整一碟..酒是rest了個半小時的Ikon Cabernet Franc 2011,以匈牙利酒來説,full body,fruity,水準高,不過同様價錢好像還有很多別的選擇..

Dessert- Blackberry Crumble Tart, Summer Fruit Salad, Raspberry Sobert
乍看甜點擺碟有點似曾相識,刻意把塔解構,切開一角,令人聯想起Massimo Bottura的經典名作"Oops!"菓塔新鮮出爐,甜度適中,紅桑子雪芭滿載rose water的芬芳,不知道還以為是玫瑰雪芭.整體是很美味的總結.

最後我們撐得渴不下咖啡了..
是夜,可以一下子品嚐多種匈牙利酒和傳統歐陸美食,真是很滿足.一直深信越簡單越見功夫,雖然是不花巧的基本料理,只要用心烹調,不單味道,還有背後隱藏的文化,每嚐一口,都像是在歐洲歷史中穿梳..很好的一次美食經驗!

Came back to Quarry Bay first day after the CNY holidays. Craving for a great cup of coffee!And that's what I got at this place. Their Americano is actually better when you add a second espresso shot. Great waker upper. Double Happiness!And this time around, I tried their brownies. Their barista didn't fail me this time either. Based on her previous recommendation, I came back for the brownies with high expectations. It is definitely moist and chocolate laden. Wished it came in a bigger chunk! N

Came to this place for their coffee. Definitely better than the garden variety and well worth the trip to go up to the 5th Floor of Westlands Centre. Their Barista suggested that I try their brownies or naughty girl cookie. She said both would go well with my cup of cappuccino. So I picked the naughty girl for its funky name. The vanilla icing on top plus the raspberry jam was the perfect compliment to the cup of cappuccino. However, despite the perfect "cookie texture", it could use a bit more

But for the health conscious who likes to go light on sugar intake, this may be the perfect cookie.

Before leaving this place, got attracted by their "sweet corner". Upon further inquiry, I understand that they use top quality couverture to make these ganache filled chocolate truffles. Great quality chocolate in a nice glass jar? Why not.

All in all, great coffee with friendly service meant I got more than what I've bargained for.

Will be back often.

I have skipped the steps here but it is pretty easy.
Anyway, the fondue was finally ready to eat and it was divine dipping soft bread into the piping hot melted cheese.
The cheese was moreish because the acidity of the white wine decreased its heaviness.

There were three breads available: Brioche, white bread and walnut and rye.
The white bread and walnut and rye were good for dipping because it was soft with a good yeast taste but the brioche was a bit too heavy for the fondue because it was buttery.

As well as the fondue classes, they also sell fondue packs for $200 which includes all the ingredients, fondue forks, burners and sufficient wine for the fondue experience.
