I’m a fan of everything crispy. It’s that time of the month and I’m looking for something extra yummy. A bowl of tendon (tempura rice bowl) would satisfy my cravings. This tempura specialty shop is near Yau Ma Tei and the inside is full of beautiful and warming Japanese decors. I sat at the bar tables overlooking the kitchen staff preparing the tempura fresh out of the sizzling hot oil. Build-your-own tempura plate: This is so good because you can customise which tempura you want. I picked a few of goodies-Giant tiger prawns; Super delicious and oozy soft-boiled onsen egg; A jumbo-size fresh scallop that tasted so sweet and delicious; Some assorted deep fried fish fillets, including anago (a smaller type of saltwater eel), that were boneless and yummy; and lastly some vegetables like asparagus and enoki mushrooms tempura. I picked the buttered Pearl rice topped with spring onions, it’s a bowl of delight- buttery and well seasoned. I like that the tempura batter was just right- not overly thick nor thin, which covered the ingredients so well and kept all the flavours inside the crispy shell. The tempura dipping sauce was remarkable too, it had taste of bonito and went really well with the tempura. Had to order a can of Japanese apple juice to stay sober in the daytime, otherwise there’re alcoholic beverages to amp up your meal. Service charge only applies for dinner, so I could skip that during lunch hours.

餐廳:捌加廿陸天婦羅居酒屋地點:旺角窩打老道菜式:天婦羅居酒屋餐牌:自選天婦羅丼,丼飯,小食,飲品,期間限定自選天婦羅丼 $112 另加一呢度有自選天婦羅丼,好flexible。飯/冷烏冬/湯烏冬/冷蕎麥麵/湯蕎麥麵底$30,其他主食加錢,然後就加錢加料自選啦。冷烏冬好大碗,個湯夠清而烏冬有咬口,加上蔥花,碗邊有日式芥末。真心覺得食天婦羅要配冷烏冬或者麵。穴子 加$22 另加一原條穴子真係好大條,魚肉滑溜有魚味。廣島蠔 加$18 另加一廣島蠔好多汁又大隻。鮮帶子 加$18 另加一帶子肉真心鮮美又嫩,好香帶子味。黑虎蝦 加$12 另加一黑虎蝦都好大隻,蝦肉鮮甜。成個餐包龍蝦麵豉湯一大碗,青瓜一條同鮮橙半片。炸雞軟骨 $38 另加一炸雞軟骨大大碟,大概有二十件大大粒,吉列皮好脆,入面雞軟骨都好脆,熱辣辣上枱,味道鹹香,墊有椰菜絲沙律解膩,伴有沙律醬令入口更滑溜。總括而言,呢度天婦羅皮夠薄脆,入面食物多汁好味,不愧為天婦羅專門店。我一個人食完呢個餐加小食超飽。座位全部都係吧枱,可以望住師傅炸野比你食。枱上面有七味粉,柚子鹽同鹽,跟餐都有天婦羅汁。平日午膳滿座。

之前有次lunch想同friend一齊食呢間,點知見到勁多人排隊就放棄咗🥹今日趁準時收工就早啲過嚟食,6:30嚟到唔使等位,但食完出嚟就見到人龍😱-初頭以為入面得吧枱位,原來樓上仲有榻榻米嘅位,成間店嘅牆身都黐滿唔同嘅日本poster,好有居酒屋feel~-好耐冇食天丼,就揀咗個經典天丼($78)試下佢得唔得先,天婦羅種類都多,有兩隻黑虎蝦、南瓜、蟹柳、蓮藕同四季豆~另外朋友就想食烏冬,所以就揀自選天婦羅定食($30起)就可以配湯烏冬,仲包埋麵豉湯同前菜。自選都有好多餸選擇,朋友就試廣島蠔($18)、黑虎蝦($12)、茄子($8)同蘆筍($8)。-原本見呢度嘅天丼價錢唔算貴,所以期望亦都唔高,但今次試完之後覺得呢度嘅天婦羅水準都算高👍🏻最緊要佢嘅炸漿夠薄,而且所有天婦羅入面都keep住濕潤唔會乾身,最欣賞係茄子,平時啲茄子天婦羅會吸晒啲油,但呢度唔會🤤-食落覺得唔錯,就追加個原隻龍蝦天婦羅($68),龍蝦仲keep到Juicy同彈牙,下次嚟會試吓活龍蝦天婦羅,龍蝦味應該會更加突出😋-最後仲嗌多個小食拼盤($78)有魷魚鬚、雞軟骨同唐揚雞,呢啲小食相比起天婦羅就比較普通,而且食得太多炸嘢好熱氣🤭建議留啲quota試唔同嘅天婦羅~
