The placeIt is at one floor below ground level and is a long and thin shop with no privacy and is surrounding by a noisy setting without any views. I have never sat down there to eat before, though my main reason is that my office is just nearby so I rather go back and eat quietly rather than having others watching me eat while they queue or walk past me from 2-3 feet away. The starbucks with the best view I can think of right now is the one at TST promenade. I have not been there since it was renovated again though.Order and waiting time (take away)I was out of office and queuing after 3 ladies who do not know each other so I was the 4th in line at around 12:53pm. The 1st lady took a great deal of time but that's ok, the 2nd and 3rd one was handled really quickly by the young girl, I think her name tag read "Jocelyn". She appears to be a trainee simply because she was the only staff I have seen smiling at the counter (the others appeared dead faced and only become alive when they serve gwai lo's), so I was super patient. I think I got my food within 5 mins after she took my order. Today they appeared to be understaff, only 2 staff during lunchtime seems rare, they usually have at least 3 at the counter, sometimes 4 (or one of the extra one is just standing there to chat). So I think "Jocelyn" (not sure if I remembered correctly, honestly) did do a great job in clearing the line and reheating the food.O and for one of the 2018 reviews about the rude male staff, I dunno if it is still the same one, but I always choose not to go inside when I see the male staff there. Simply because I feel that he doesn't want us there either. Just a gut feeling. So the food...Curry beef puff ($25)I always eat the  the hot food first and the curry beef fillings inside the "puff" was still really really hot, though I have cat's tongue but I didn't care. It is one of my recent favourite pastry items in starbucks and some of them don't even have enough stock of this to go around, either they think this is not popular or it is actually more popular than I thought so I never could get a hold of them before. And for $25, I think it is money well spent. They also have a miniature (or should I say downsized?) version of the curry beef puff at some maxim's bakery shop for $11, though you have to reheat it somewhere else, plus an old lady at the cashier, haha...Blueberry Cheesecake ($35)I am not a big fan of desserts, but I do occasionally order this from starbucks because most of the time I think their blueberries are firm and always taste sweet. Pretty rare to find in supermarkets myself, or simply I am just bad at picking fruits >.< This is also one of my.. ok... my only favourite dessert in starbucks, right now... coz I am a big fan of cheesecake and for $35, I get sweetness instead of the bitterness from work. But unfortunately, some of the blueberries tastes sour this time, o well, luckily most of the others are the same normal sweet taste so I let it slide.Black Tea with Ruby Grapefruit & Honey ($40 for venti)I ordered grande size this time and I do not have a photo, but anyone with just a little imagination can picture lemon tea without the lemon right? Well good, you have just successfully visualized this drink! This drink is made out of mixing condensed syrup with tea and can either be served cold and hot. I usually don't like drinks made out of condensed syrup, because this kind of drinks appears to be a cheat and rip off.... but wait, dont get me wrong, I still like both cold and hot versions. The cold version is already stirred and tend to have less sweetness comparatively to the hot one. The hot one comes with a teabag and nearing the bottom of the cup, you can see and taste the unmixed remains of the syrup which is ultra sweet... I could even pour more hot water in it to make another half cup and still taste the same, scary, but I still like it... which is even more scarier...  Did I get a stomach-ache?No, actually I was a bit worried about the cheesecake, but I turned out fine! I did give many many chances to Starbucks but I think its really my last time of complaint. Why we paid for suffering the horrible services? The male staff even shouted at me that "YOU SHOULD NOT PLAY ON PHONE" because I asked why he didn't call my drink when its ready. I am not standing in front of the barrister because I don't want to push anyone. So I usually sat down and played a game on my mobile for a while, it doesn't mean my ears are not working. I am still listening for the barrister to call my drink or my name. But I found seems everyone got theirs, but where's mine? So I approached to the counter and found my drink was already there......Its okay, perhaps I really missed. When I left, I discovered my venti drink only was given 1 teabag, supposed should have 2. I returned to the male barrister and asked why there's only 1. He had NO ANY INTENTION to apologize, just dropped 1 teabag to me. Then I asked him to call my drink next time, he MOUTH BACK said, 'I SHOULD NOT PLAY ON MY PHONE!" Wow......yes I am playing on my phone, does it mean my ears are blocking? I don't want to sit down and stare at barrister to prepare a drink, not to embarrass a person, then it becomes my fault? wow.........what a wonderful service Starbucks provided. After the terrible services at Alexandra House, here comes another advance version! Wow.....Am I too psycho to visit Starbucks again to be insulted?Thank you, Maxim's Group, you did a good management there, a laisse faire management, just let the staff freely do what they want!Btw,I wondered why that staff did not mention my name when the drink is ready? I am sure he did not as there is NO STICKER ON THE DRINK! But the funniest is I am your holy Gold member but receiving the worst service in earth. Wow! I have never ventured to CKC before but only went because of food le parc.food le parc is a haven for peace and quiet on the weekends as the office people have fled.It is a little busier on Sundays when people are out and you get some curious people venturing here.Had the salmon and scrambled egg wrap which was surprisingly good, inside it was filled with minced tuna mixed with mayonnaise which gives it a creamy flavour while the scrambled egg is filling.Finished with the Cinnamon danish to complete my lunch.Again, it was flawless as it was not too crunchy with a nice chew flavoured by the sugar and cinnamon.For drinks, I had my favourite Earl Grey Chocolate Frap.My friend said the strawberry iced lemonade was too sweet but he didn't know you could request the sugar levels. 继续阅读
