I visited my relatives today at Tai Wai and since it has been a long time since we last met, we chatted till evening time and we decided to have dinner nearby. He brought me to Meat Pie Gor since it was quite popular and just opened not long ago. I have heard of this restaurant from articles but it was too far away from my house, thus i did not have the chance to try on it. Since they specialized in minced meat, most of the dishes were related to it. I have never seen a menu with so many version
Since they specialized in minced meat, most of the dishes were related to it. I have never seen a menu with so many versions of minced meat, at least 20 flavours of minced meat. Besides that, they do offered side dishes as well.
Soon after they have made our order, the waitress served us a bowl of soup. The soup was clear and not oily, and was nourishing.
Mango juice - I topped up additional $12 for freshly made mango juice. The drink was thick and smooth, with strong mango sweet taste.
Lettuce - The lettuce served was quite healthy, with no soy sauce or oil added on it. It was juicy and crunchy, able to taste the freshness.
Steamed minced meat with fish maw - The serving was very huge, enough for 2 persons even though it is a person's serving. Fish maw and minced meat was so big that it covered the whole surface of the claypot. I requested for vegetable rice as it was healthier. Fish maw was so smooth and jellyish that it almost melt in my mouth. Minced meat was steamed till soft and flavourful as well, going well with the rice.
Fried potato ball with cheese - It was fried till crispy, but slightly hard though. Potato filling was soft and hot, but there is not much cheese in it.
