It was getting a bit chilly and I wanted something warm and soupy. Remembered that there was a Yue Mic Ka near the Central  escalator so decided to give it a try. It was just past noon so there were plenty of seats. My companion and I were offered a two person table at the corner, which was a bit crammed but relatively private. Ordered the siganature fish beancurd noodle soup ($49) which came with a free drink. Also added a side dish for $9. Stir fried green beans The side dish arrived first. Th

It was just past noon so there were plenty of seats. My companion and I were offered a two person table at the corner, which was a bit crammed but relatively private. Stir fried green beans 
The side dish arrived first. The green beans were better than expected - they were lightly stir fried with minced garlic - full of flavour without being too oily.

Hot lemon honey
The drink arrived next. It was served in a cup and saucer with the restaurant's own logo which was cute. The drink was well balanced with the right amount of lemon slices and honey syrup.

Fish Beancurd Noodle Soup
By the time I finished all the green beans and half of the drink my noodles still had not arrived. Upon asking the waiter confined that the order did not go through 
. He apologised and luckily my noodles arrived not long after. Quickly tasted the first mouthful of soup - it was slightly sweet and fishy. The noodles were soft and blended in well with the soup. The fish beancurds were quite small in size which made them to eat, and they were soft and tasty. I also liked the fact that they put some fresh veggies (despite only a tiny bit) in the soup to make it more healthy and colourful.

题外话/补充资料: The menu seemed to have expanded to include various items like baked rice, teppan udon, etc. and there are a few "healthy choice" options too. May be next time!

準備坐船去尖東之前食一餐, 又係搵間人流唔算多的店. 點了下午茶餐, 有雞翼魚米線, 碗仔翅炸魚柳, 加炸牛奶和兩杯飲品.米線一般, 個湯很甜好喝, 雞翼得兩舊. 碗仔翅一般, 炸魚柳很乾不好食, 春卷也麻麻.炸牛奶太甜了, 同地道得差很遠, 不過價錢方面平很多. 皮脆內超熱, 都算好食.飲品方面, 芒果酸奶不錯開胃, 紀子蜜糖水也很潤喉. 服務都算勤快, 座位也舒服.

星期六過左6點去到成間店差唔多係冇人,加埋我地一行四個都係大約有4台人。我地4個都係細食,見下午茶到7點就叫下午茶啦,價錢$32~$40左右,連tea/coffe 唔係貴。上左個豬扒米線都算係正常,女仔一個人下午茶剛剛好。不過叫左個omlette+雞翼+粟米就真係嚇死人。D粟米係隻碟上面真係顯得好可憐。仲有個omlette係用一隻雞蛋加小小火腿,我真係寧願佢係 scrammbled eggs 都可能仲見得人。雞翼係正常,碗仔翅料唔多,有D咸,但總算比個碟野過得去。雞扒飯算正常,下午茶夠食。炒公仔面加雞翼,D雞翼切開左兩半,加埋原應係3隻,細隻到得D骨,加上D面又係少得可憐。剛剛係下午茶+晚市交更時段,間店又大又冇人,D伙計大大聲叫“唔做啦,落更呀“,去埋單果時我地兩台原來落單之後冇放低單,結果收銀個阿姨又要糾結左一陣先埋到單。店又大,人又多,但係真係唔知係度做咩。

雞翼係正常,碗仔翅料唔多,有D咸,但總算比個碟野過得去。

去埋單果時我地兩台原來落單之後冇放低
單,結果收銀個阿姨又要糾結左一陣先埋到單。
店又大,人又多,但係真係唔知係度做咩。

四月二十九日 (星期一)「魚米家」這魚湯米線連鎖店,在中環工作那麼久,就看到它一路的搬來搬去最初的石板街人氣店及德輔道中的老店,後來「生記」的出現,也漸漸與它疏遠最新消息,就在日店「熊亭」的舊址開新店,就找一天來訪人,也是如常的多,可幸早來,不用等多久便有位架架妹也如常選了魚腐米線,架架仔則選魚皮餃米線,再加一碟炸魚皮湯底,與「生記」比,會令人生氣的湯不算濃厚,幸仍帶點魚香,仍算是魚湯吧魚腐,入口香軟,帶着魚香,挺不錯魚皮餃略差,皮很韌,中間的豬肉餡也欠鮮肉香炸魚皮很不錯,入口香脆,帶着咸香放入湯待一兩秒吃,炸魚皮軟硬度就更合宜,口感更佳!搬來搬去,水準依舊不變(的平庸)還是走遠一點,到上環的「生記」好了

最新消息,就在日店「熊亭」的舊址開新店,就找一天來訪

人,也是如常的多,可幸早來,不用等多久便有位
架架妹也如常選了魚腐米線,架架仔則選魚皮餃米線,再加一碟炸魚皮

湯底,與「生記」比,會令人生氣的
湯不算濃厚,幸仍帶點魚香,仍算是魚湯吧

還是走遠一點,到上環的「生記」好了
