I grew up on the Upper Westside in New York. I thought I'd give Archie's a shot to satisfy my craving of a New York Deli, in the end I was gravely wrong. I ordered the standard matzoh ball soup and pastrami combination that I would typically get if I went to Katz's deli. I didn't expect it to be as good, but I'm not sure what I had could be considered in the same food group. My grandfather was also a kosher caterer in NY, so I know a thing or two about what New York deli food should taste like.

I'm usually wary of burgers being delivered because by the time they arrive the bread is mushy and all the juice from the meat tends to be at the bottom of the bag. Today however I had a craving and decided to order from Archie's. I was impressed.My girlfriend got the standard burger and I got the firehouse chili burger (not quite as spicy as advertised), both of which tasted like they had just come off the grill. Compared to many other similar hamburger/sandwhich places in the neighborhood, this restaurant is very reliable and consistently good.I have been eating here occasionally since it opened 8 or so years ago, and today I had a cheesesteak with peppers and onions. 情人節....我突然好想食大Burger，男友大人就帶我去咗呢度，可能係情人節關係，所以呢啲小店比較冷清，不過仲好啦唔洗同人逼。一入到去環境好舒服，快餐店式經營.....我叫咗個Mushroom Burger，大人就叫咗Firehouse Chili Burger其實兩者都好JUICY，一咬肉汁四淺，前者雖然用新鮮蘑菇，不過比牛肉嘅味道掩蓋晒，而後者就味濃，味道有如食緊BUFFALO WINGS嗰隻味，不過又不失牛肉濃香，少少辣，幾野味吓~包中醬汁同生菜等配料..........往往一咬而出，都食得幾論盡...大家要有心理準備~跟包有一大堆粗薯條跟，新鮮熱辣辣...正，不過可能係咁所以需時都大概要3-4個字，食好味同新鮮嘢就真係要有啲耐性。是晚仲叫咗兩枝BROOKLYN LAGER........不過一啲都唔淡，麥味都幾濃。兩大Burger、薯條再加BEER....我同大人食嗰刻唔覺....之後先FEEL到食泄咗囉~好想試炸芝士同洋蔥圈...不過真係食唔落，唯有下次啦!

因為 ubuyibiuy 有半價優惠，來這裏試試以 $120 享用價值 $240 的晚餐，再加 $20 買多支啤酒換言之，以 $140 享用了 $260 的晚餐chili cheese fries :與 outback 的差得遠，一來不夠芝士，二來一點也不辣，有點肉醬怪怪的，但都好味的錯在我們不知道原來 burger 會附送薯條，結果三份大大小小的薯條吃剩了一大堆我們最初只看 cashier 上面的水牌叫食物，後來才知道有 menu 看，否則會叫第二樣小食greek salad :份量多，新鮮，配醋汁美味，美中不足是檻欖過鹹mushroom burger :與 triple'O 的又差得遠，因它單純放了磨菇而欠缺磨菇汁牛肉 juicy 點更好，但整體也好味blue cheese burger :我認為芝士太鹹，但老公覺得那堆溶了的藍芝士搭上那舊免治牛肉好正我們要了支 brooklyn pilsiner，這支 pilsner 不苦澀，麥味重，有甘甜花香味，我地都幾鐘意小店的洗手間雖小，但出乎意料乾淨企理，值得嘉許這裏另有$60 套餐包括burger, fries & soft drin

由於很久沒有吃過漢堡，不知道下巴能夠張大的程度是提升或退步了，便想要找個可以大口大口咬的漢堡來試試。此時有巧不巧。巧的是本周一在OpenRice上發現「Archie B’s」，漢堡看起來夠份量值得一試。不巧的是食伴紛紛離我而去。大力女王對於漢堡興趣缺缺，一口就說不去；靚C9說要跟大力女王一同出街；顧老饕則是部門聚餐。於是在盛夏正午酷熱的大太陽下，我獨自一人由德輔道出發，穿過車水馬龍的皇后大道後，沿著鴨巴甸街爬上了荷里活道，汗水也一滴滴的由額頭與髮際冒出。再往前走右轉進些利街後，記得唔食都知唔好食的食評提到門口是在俊榮里，果真在俊榮里一停下來往右望，便看到「Archie B’s」的招牌。進入店裡時，兩張可容納4個人的圓桌，以及至少可擺進7個人的紅色沙發區是空無一人，只有在等外賣的一男一女坐在靠近門口的椅子上。看看牆上掛著的黑板寫著3款今日特餐，附薯條與soft drink一共60元，內用再加一成，價錢不算貴，於是決定點個今日特餐，走到吧檯前跟一位極為雄壯威武的女士點了「Great Chili Chicken Burger (Fried)」。「飲料可以換成啤酒嗎？」我問。「不行喔，抱歉，」

整天除了早餐之後，就直踩到近九至十時才下班，在餓極的情形下覓食，不知為何是日非常想吃漢堡包，本來可到北角試一所未吃過的，但由於是為時已晚，但又不甘心吃老麥，最後到了不夜城蘇豪一帶，決心一試這所沒有喊評的漢堡店，初時找了到Portobello，心想莫非再Portobello的地牢，心想又沒太可能，最後輾轉之間走到了在些利街旁的俊榮里，街口是El Taco Loco，真的好不容易才走入店子。人已經是餓極了，但不知何解店家到這個時候，生意還真的不錯，一班外籍青年在議論紛紛，邊買東西吃邊咀咀，簡直就有點阻住地球轉，等了良久，在等的時候，心內十五十六，究竟吃什麼漢堡好，本來按道理是吃牛的，但又想試一個Snack，但又想經濟點，最後發現牆邊黑板寫了是日精選，是一個漢堡包加薯條加汽水的套餐，只收六十元，一個餐的價錢跟其他包單價一樣錢，立時轉了呔，加上有三款選擇，所以二話不說，點了三者之中最健康的Mushroom Gravy Chicken Burger。Mushroom Gravy Chicken Burger，個包的Size是非常之巨形，底面兩層的芝麻包烘得乾乾熱熱的，而燒過的雞扒更是不斷發出熱能

Went here for a lunch and thought that i could eat it out on the street, while walking to the busstop. But never thought the burger i ordered would be this huge! So my advice is: sit down while you're eating their burgers ;)Ordered the Cordon Blue with Ham burger lunch set (great value: 60 dollars only!! and it comes with a drink and cole slaw), and the meat was so tender and juicy. Matched perfectly with the melted cheese on it. And a good thing: there were big pieces of veggies on the burger.
