Reservations are made through a calling center separate from the restaurant; there was a mess-up with my reservation that required correction. All was ok eventually.Location is prime - smack in the middle of the action on the Peak, and al fresco seating gives you a fun view amidst of it all to people watch.Food was really really slow - 7pm seating required a 35 min wait for a burger and fish n chips - not reasonable. Location is prime - smack in the middle of the action on the Peak, and al fresco seating gives you a fun view amidst of it all to people watch.


Food was really really slow - 7pm seating required a 35 min wait for a burger and fish n chips - not reasonable. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Just pretty standard menu - I thought Gordon Ramsay would be really innovative based on his shows, but the options seemed quite pedestrian.


Staff is helpful and friendly but al fresco area definitely gets limited attention since there are only 4 tables.


All in all, was ok. The outdoor ambiance and people watching was the highlight of the restaurant.

前菜個八爪魚非常之好食,不過有少少偏鹹。Beef wellington 就失敗咗, 蘑菇搞得太碎。搞到好似鵝肝醬噉,冇曬趙頭。 今次仲,整得偏辣,我哋問,經理點解咁辣,佢話,廚房落咗芥末醬。佢話以前啲蘑菇係用刀嚟切,今次,改咗用新方法,用機嚟絞碎 OMG.... 真係好失望。 最後,經理送咗兩杯咖啡,同個甜品,畀我哋食,不過嗰甜品同海港城嗰間,就爭好遠囉,大家睇下相就知啦。咖啡我成日都有飲,不過送咗兩杯咖啡,我就真係no comment喇,大家自己試下啦。

一試難忘的威靈頓牛❤️賣相經已很吸引,外皮烤得鬆脆又帶點煙韌,然後是黑松露味的蘑菇碎,包裹着肉質軟軟的牛,滿滿肉汁和濃濃的牛味,吃著捨不得吞下去😂 還有伴碟的芝士汁,薯蓉,實在太棒了👏🏼 一碟共有四大塊,吃完一塊已經足夠,每人吃兩塊實在太飽了🤭還想吃其他菜式的話,可以不用點這個,餐廳可讓客人單點一塊的👍🏻這個蘋果批,以甜點來說也太大了吧,還好有雪糕球中和這麼重量級的批,旁邊的是雲呢拿醬,可蘸蘋果批吃😋

這個蘋果批,以甜點來說也太大了吧,還好有雪糕球中和這麼重量級的批,旁邊的是雲呢拿醬,可蘸蘋果批吃😋

山頂廣場終於開返,立即去試吓地獄廚神嘅新鋪頭,環境半開放式,頗多露台枱,方便攜狗人士。菜式都算多樣化,兒童餐亦多選擇,可以揀 2or 3 courses. 我們試咗新的 weekend roast ,燒牛肉份量不多,但配菜例如Yorkshire puddings, broccoli, cauliflower with cheese, roasted potatoes 都可以無限添加,盛為$248。味道不過不失,山頂價錢來講,亦唔算太貴,值得一試。

因為鐘意酥皮又鐘意食牛 所以一直想試下地獄廚神的威靈頓牛😆 之前睇d食評話個牛同酥皮分開左 其實上菜果陣係痴埋的 中間有層好香的蘑菇蓉 係之後切果陣先分開 😆威靈頓牛-牛的質地好嫩 煮得好好 酥皮好鬆化而沒有油膩感 不過可惜唔夠重牛味 要加返裝係牛脊髓的牛油同peppercorn sauce點綴下附送的side係薯蓉 好creamy 將另外加錢加的hand cut chips比下去veggie burger-個餡唔同出面d vege meat ,好重豆同香料味 如果係vegetarian可以問拒攞個menu 不過依個就可以skip 試下其他Apple pie-係二人份量 但應該4個人食都夠 個酥皮感覺無落好多牛油 好好食 而最後附送的生日甜品就無大印象🤔

Beef Wellington, Mashed Potatoes and Peppercorn Sauce (For 2 people) $888 | Hands down the BEST beef wellington I’ve ever had in HK! Perfectly cooked fillet steaks wrapped in the absolutely amazing & aromatic duxelle (tbh I’d personally devour the entire dish of the mushroom paste if they sold that alone😍) and crispy pastry, this dish tasted simply heavenly with many different layers of flavours.

The beef fillets remained very juicy and tender, which you can probably tell from the beautiful pink surface of the cross-section. Another special thing about this signature dish would be the bone marrow candle. Simply pick up the burning candle to pour a couple drops of the melted bone marrow and damn, it’s pure perfection💯

先講最期待啲菜式——Beef Wellington ($888/4件)。呈粉紅色嘅牛肉由一層香香嘅蘑菇包裹住,外層配上金黃色嘅酥皮,整體口感及層次分明,口味出色。牛肉鎖緊肉汁,每口均軟腍而肉味香濃,果然名不虛傳👍🏻
蘑菇用左不少香料調味,每啖都甘香可口,同牛肉好夾!如果有道菜係淨菇我都想食!😍
另外,菜式附上牛骨髓蠟燭,用燒熱嘅牛骨髓伴beef wellington 黎食,將味道推上高峰!

另外,我地亦叫左牧羊批、fish & chips等典型英國菜式。肉批嘅羊肉味好香,配上薯蓉、菜等材料,味道很好,而且十分飽肚。

最後,我地選擇apple pie同toffee pudding黎share。兩種甜品性價比極高,份量非常generous。
個人較中意apple pie,外層焗得好甘香,內裡就有大大粒嘅蘋果,整體口感豐富,味道唔會過甜,十分推介!

Just like many others, I am a huge fan of Chef Gordon Ramsay. So when I knew Bread Street Kitchen & Bar was relocated to The Peak Galleria, of course I had to give it a try.I quite like the open kitchen setting of the restaurant, giving it a more chill and casual vibe.We started with 2 smaller dishes to share, and they were both really good!The foie gras ballntine was paired with fruit chutney and toasted brioche. We started with 2 smaller dishes to share, and they were both really good!

The foie gras ballntine was paired with fruit chutney and toasted brioche. The foie gras was really delicious without a sense of over-greasiness. The whisky brioche was so fluffy and airy, and it went really well with the foie gras.

The tuna tasted as good as it looked! It was paired with sweet onions dressing which tasted very good. And the crispy bits on top were really impressive, and turned out its made with 10 layers of deep fried seaweed paper & rice paper ! No wonder the product turned out to be so crispy!!

Then the mains came. The Fish & Chips and Shepherds pie were as authentic as those I’ve had in England before, and definitely lived up to their reputations.

And the beef wellington, needless to say, was SO GOOD. Perfectly cooked fillet steak wrapped in a layer of mushrooms in the middle and pâté. Tasted heavenly! Tho the portion was huge and we had quite a lot of starters before this, we still finished the entire thing!! The fillet steak was so tender and juicy, and went perfectly well with the mushrooms surrounding it, giving a very interesting mix of texture and flavours. Amazing.

Last but not least, we finished up with some desserts.

The toffee pudding was the dessert of choice for people with a sweet tooth. The pudding was very cakey and tasted very sweet especially with the caramel sauce below. The apple pie was very delicious and kinda reminded me of the desserts my family made when I was a child! haha

hkfoodtour’s official verdict: Just another amazing restaurant under Chef Gordon Ramsay. Will definitely be back again!

補償食唔到既pancake 叫左個焦糖拖肥布丁,初初都覺得有d擔心太甜,食第一淡之後就覺得不得了,下面pudding 部分係熱既,入而有d nuts 上面係凍冰冰嘅雪糕,最底仲有拖肥汁同d caramel crunch ! 好香甜好好食🤩成個組合無得輸,亦唔會死甜甜到食食唔好! highly recommended!!

之後我哋仲叫咗一個紅菜頭沙律,呢個沙律仲陪曬咗鷹嘴豆麗我比較欣賞個鷹嘴豆,真係食得出係新鮮整出嚟嘅而且味道唔錯。而個沙律就比較乾身左啲,味道唔算話太出眾,有啲偏酸嘅感覺,我個人就唔係太鍾意。

最後呢一個係等左好耐好耐好耐嘅medium
Fillet steak 300g. It’s a bit disappointed。因為呢一個等左真係超過一個鐘頭我就唔係好明點解要咁耐先至送到上嚟啦。二來佢啲牛味唔夠香肉又唔夠juicy.食落去其實好乾身
所以俾我感覺有啲鞋。呢一個價錢唔係好陪呢一個質素所以我認為有少少失望餐廳可以再改良一下。

As is now the fashion, I’m compelled to apologise on behalf of my country for events far beyond my control. As a Brit, my sorrow and shame at Brexit knows no bounds. I hereby apologise unreservedly for the unnecessary, senseless chaos my home country has embarked upon and, by extension, imposed on the world.  

As a Brit, I also feel compelled to apologise for the new Bread Street Kitchen. The new Bread Street, like Brexit, fails to reflect the modern, progressive culinary society we (and more specifically, Gordon Ramsey) have worked so hard for. 

It’s easy to forget amongst the bravado, swearing and idiot sandwiches that Gordon Ramsey’s reputation as a chef is beyond reproach. Before Gordon, London was a gastronomic backwater, drowning in a sea of thick gravy and lumpy mash potato. Somewhere in the early noughties, he began delivering serious dishes with an elegance and deftness of touch that simply hadn’t been seen on our side of the channel. 

We have none of that at the new Peak Galleria outpost. Like Brexit, what we have is borrowed nostalgia and broken promises. Bread Street promises modern British cooking but borrows a menu from a more wholesome non-existent time.

If this were an episode of Kitchen Nightmares the 44 food item menu would be torn to shreds. Like the menu, the dishes are dense. The beef ragu pudding, beef wellington and shepherd’s pie would all have me salivating if it were a cold autumn day in London. But on a humid spring day in Hong Kong they had me sweating. And, regardless of the restaurants desired informality, and regardless of how artery-cloggingly delicious it may sound, fried buffalo chicken burger with franks hot sauce and blue cheese sauce simply shouldn’t be on a Ramsey menu.

So with hesitation, we ordered a steak (Mr. A) and a burger (Mrs. A). As someone who wants to understand the pedigree and potential of a restaurant, I shouldn’t have order steak and burger. But the margin for error with all the dishes on the menu (perhaps with the exception of the Wellington) is huge. And here I’ll present my final tenuous Brexit analogy, with its menu, Bread Street leaves very little room to impress and lots of room
to disappoint. A great shepherd’s pie is a great shepherd’s pie – but deserves no plaudits. A bad shepherd’s pie is unforgivable. 

Shortly after ordering a wooden board of warm focaccia and caramelized onion butter was delivered. Now, I don’t know about you, but to me, caramelized onion butter sounds like the stuff of dreams. I was ready to herald it as the finest use of butter since The Last Tango In Paris. I ate it, it was ok. 

But the steak and burger arrived soon after. Both were very good. They were tender, juicy and flavoursome. The béarnaise sauce was well balanced. And, the chips... well, the chips were great. Like mini crispy, fluffy roast potatoes, they were the best I can remember having in Hong Kong. But still it’s hard to be impressed. 

Your opinion of Gordon Ramsey will depend on when and whence you came. I, as a middle-class, middle-aged (I’m not, but for the purpose of sentence construction, let’s pretend) chap from middle-England, remember a time when going to a Ramsey restaurant was unattainably extravagant, representing the height of progressive gastronomy. This goes a long way to explaining the many Brits attired Sunday finery (my little family included) while everyone else was in sweaty Lycra, fanny packs and sun visors. And this gets to the heart of the Bread Street’s problem; who’s supposed to be the audience? Is it people wanting a great dining experience or is it people wanting sustenance having trudged up the Morning Trail? 

I suspect it’s the latter. If it were about the former I would expect, along with mouth-watering food, mouth-watering views of Hong Kong (why else would you open a restaurant on the top of a mountain). I can confirm that the new Bread Street provides unparalleled views of the peak tram queue. 

The staff however, as is usually the case in Ramsey restaurants, are incredible; charm personified and attentive to a fault. Not one of them tired of picking up the wooden blocks that my baby daughter delighted in chucking on the floor. But even they couldn’t compensate for a flawed concept.

With its relocation up the peak, Bread Street Kitchen could have, and should have taken a long hard look at itself. It could have designed a menu around seasonal produce that reflects modern British cuisine. It didn’t. 

It’s not quite a kitchen nightmare, but it’s certainly reminiscent of that unnerving feeling of waking up somewhere unfamiliar, looking to your right and realizing you’ve made a very big mistake. Gordon, I have nothing but admiration for you, but you’re better than this.

How can I miss this!? Finally came over to the Peak - all along for BSK by Gordon Ramsay.. this is always one of my fav restaurants... used to visit it a lot when it was in Lan Kwai Fong but now is kinda inconvenient for this new location at the Peak... Deco and interior design are pretty much similar to the one in LKF.. friendly staff as usual .. started the dinner with the starters - Steak Tartare and Snow Prawn and crab ... the steak tartare comes with the nachos.. good match, a little bit s

Deco and interior design are pretty much similar to the one in LKF.. friendly staff as usual .. started the dinner with the starters - Steak Tartare and Snow Prawn and crab ... the steak tartare comes with the nachos.. good match, a little bit salty but the sauce is really cool! The salad is quite refreshing as well ....

Picked the ribeye (400g) in medium rare which is just fit! Juicy for the steak 😋😋😋 nth to complain as always and is not pricy as well .... $348 which is indeed fair enough ....

Well....to my surprise that the Fish & Chips is a bit disappointing for this time... the fries aren’t crispy and they are like “re-fried”... emmm ... taste is ok but can be better for sure.. apparently, I ordered this dish every time at LKF store while it was always good ... hope that this will be improved during my next visit 😅😅😅

I've tried Breadstreet when it was still in central and I liked it better than the relocated one at the peak now, realistically I was not able to identify something really special in the restaurant. Mixed grain and beetroot salad with hummus and Chikcen. The chicken was added to the salad and I thought it was a bit dry. Salad itself was okay.

My overall comment would really be the fact that the image you see of Gordon being a super rigorous chef and asks everyone to pay full attention to details - probably not going to happen in his franchises. I know this restaurant is managed by Dinning Concepts and I'd describe them as more of a mid-end restaurant group and I believe what's lacking is that high end touch. Yes I know the peak is a tourist area but still it's not a bad thing to make things a bit more fancy and/or elegant. I can't say I'm really disappointed in this occasion but I also don't think it's worth coming to the peak just for the meal. Perhaps I didn't order the right stuff such as the beef Wellington or Shepherd's pie.

P.S. the toilets are too small so I really think they should do something about it.

我點了的lunch : 紅菜頭棃麥羊奶芝士沙律伴有英咀豆醬。沙律調味十分均勻,每一啖都食到意大利香醋同欖油香味,仲有火箭菜提味,撈埋creamy 的英咀豆醬,是味覺大滿足。

Pudding 中間的short rib 是最令人驚喜的一部分。煮得好淋,好有肉味,而個pudding 就好軟綿綿,好索汁! 😍 $48 一位 ,超值!不過嫌啲汁唔夠多,下次再來要記得要求多汁!

餐包是超級厚,超級松軟嘅focaccia 。有蕃茄乾向入面,好香口。左手邊的牛油十分creamy ,比一般牛油多左啲咸香味道,應該係house made 加左特別調味。
