服務:wait我地個waiter幾好,有耐性解答,同埋remind我地叫多個salad就食唔晒架喇咁.未如食友所講的差,亦未有幸偶遇傳說中既老闆哈哈!

抵食:似乎每一個食友都談論呢個問題哈哈,其實好多人都係因為知道呢度貴,先黎"朝聖"下咁,好好奇一個賣$500既pasta係mut東東咁,黎之前已經知道價錢,抵唔抵真係在乎食客既心態.我會覺得一年黎一兩次可以既.始終呢度有佢既特色,pasta亦真係好.好homemade既感覺,好似以前看foodtv入面既Italian Chef煮既菜式咁.

嚐試一下還是可以的.....看意粉的份上.....

Food is good but really expensive... I mean REEEAAALLLYYY expensive! No nice decor, small restaurant, not many choices on the menu, its merely a place to show off the cash you got. Kinda felt like being robbed! Red Shrimp Linguini - good; al dente; tastes very "shrimpy"; but I've had same quality or even better pasta elsewhere at much lower prices, and it was actually a bit too oily

coffee - sad; far better at Starbucks!

If after reading all these comments about Da Domenico's over-pricing & you still decide to pay it a visit, there's only one item I'd recommend you trying - Tiramisu ($70). Quite good.

But it was full house that night and I guess most were their regular customers caz everyone seemed to know what they wanted to order.

食完一個八頭三身既所謂招牌菜。諗住個羊扒都唔衰得去邊啦。煎咋wor...咁都衰得?係﹐真係可以好衰!!
五塊羊扒充滿凌亂美咁散落係個大碟上﹐碟旁有"株"醃菜加半粒車里茄。好一個毫無誠意既food presentation, 大家樂D扒都放得靚過佢。算。心諗好味都無所謂。切一小塊入口﹐無點到mustard 同mint sauce...諗住試下原味啦﹐嘩﹐原來D mustard同mint sauce唔係去除羊酥味﹐而係用黎調味lor....因為舊肉係一D味到無﹐真係同食舊煲左湯四粒鐘既豬肉無分別。仲要無問我地幾成熟就整well done。真係切底失望。三舊水既羊扒﹗﹗我地食淨成塊﹐個waiter收野時都唔識問句How's the food.真係咩服務呀?
結果我地連dessert同coffee都唔想俾機會佢就走人。埋單千四蚊﹐真係好唔高興既一餐。唔係講笑﹐如果有得俾十個喊面﹐我俾足十個佢呀﹗

This is an authentic Italian restaurant and is one of the very best in HK. If you read the word "authentic", this is a place for Italian feast, not a French restaurant so do not complain about the noise. Don't complain about the price as well because this is not Pizza Hut. I called last night to try to advance my booking to 12 noon, booking of which was made some 2 weeks ago for a birthday celebration.

There was this jerk with strange accent answered the phone and since I was not expecting that, so I spoke in Cantonese first. The background was extremely noisy so I guessed he couldn't hear me properly, so he abruptly asked someone else to take the line. The lady was very helpful. Things went smoothly and then towards the end of the conversation, I asked again if the restaurant will be opened by then. She then realized that it was not possible, reason being that the restaurant needed to take delivery of imported food on that day and that they won’t open till 1 pm. I then pleaded her if we could just sit and chat till they were ready for taking orders as this was a long planned get-together. She laughed a little and lowered her voice and asked if we really wouldn’t mind as it would be extremely chaotic. Before I could answer, the phone was snatched off and that jerk started bombarding (guess he must understand Cantonese and had been eavesdropping) for more than 40 seconds, saying that on that day, they have tons of food coming in and the restaurant won’t open till 1 pm and if I can’t make it, then change the date or don’t come. He ended this sing-song with a very rude ‘do you understand?’

Since I am a civilised person, I did not even raise my voice, I said I understand what he was talking all along, what I do not understand is his attitude.

You know what that jerk said, then don't come, there are thousands of restaurants around, we are perfectly OK that you cancel your booking. It was so outrageous that the only word I found was 'sure', and before I knew it, he just hanged up on me!

I begin to pity that nice lady because I am afraid she’d be scolded harshly afterwards for wasting time talking to a nobody like me for 3 mins. Now I even understand why she dropped her voice despite the place was so noisy.

UNBELIEVABLE! He is absolutely right –there are indeed many good restaurants in town and I have been to some top and stylish restaurants with excellent food, to name a few, like Amber, Zuma, Caprice, Petrus, Spoon, The Steakhouse, Chez Patrick, Robuchon in Macau …. none of which offered such AMAZING service!! Later, I heard that he is both the boss and chef –with such attitude and temperament, the food he makes would definitely be awful and substandard. I decide to share this with those who plan to go - they might need to sum up their courage to face up to similar challenge and humiliation I experienced some time ago.

While I understand on hindsight that our presence would cause immense inconvenience to the staff and restaurant, but what I tried to find out was whether there was a possibility of letting us to come early while they work at the kitchen –surely if it is not convenient, we won’t insist. We would not have known how the restaurant operates (we are not the staff) so we think we deserve a better treatment of being explained to instead of being shouted at.

My conclusion : this is a place where snobs go –don’t think he dares yelling to the celebrities and bigshots ....

所以以後都唔會去的,這間餐廳永別了。

Firstly, I don't even try the food as I just made booking via phone call! BUT it was extremely disappointed that I've been treated by the representative!I told the man I want to make booking and told him if there is any special arrangement/ free cake etc for my birthday friend. He JUST not allow me to talk anymore and kept saying Da Domenico is an expensive restaurant and I don't even try bargining as they are expensive. If anyone want to bargain, then Da Domenico is not the choice.It make me so

Very very good food. The price is worth it!!The pasta is definately the best in town, and possibly the whole of Asia. AL DENTE.The appetizers are delicious as well. The garlic toast with tomato is certainly worth eating. Before eating this, I did not know that toast can taste so good. They provide a homemade pesto sauce to all customers to go with bread before the meal, and even that sauce is the best pesto sauce ever. Much better than all the other italian restaurants in Hong Kong.I want to giv

They provide a homemade pesto sauce to all customers to go with bread before the meal, and even that sauce is the best pesto sauce ever. Much better than all the other italian restaurants in Hong Kong.

The choices of set lunch menu were not attractive and special. appetiter: grilled cheeses (tried but not special) or smoked salmone with salad (no surprise). soup: vegetable soup (fresh with many ingredient, but too small and the taste is so so ) or sorbet (taste unknown); main course: ox-tougue or spagehetti with meat saurce (the texture of the spagethetti is good, but still not worth for it) or Rioviolli coffeeI felt so regret to pick this restaurant. I felt so regret to pick this restaurant. FOOD is fair, nothing special and not tastey.

No service at all. Open the botteled water for you without pouring it in your glass; give you the pepper without helping you. We expect a much better service if we are paying $350+10% for lunch.
The restaurant is small and decoration is casual. The waiters and waitress are young and look like part-time student.
Very very disappointed. I prefer Amigo or Cova if paying the same or even lesser.

呢間餐廳收費一流,但係服務態度九流。今日同舊同事去個到食晏,一去到就去洗手間。去完先發現個洗手間無水洗手。出去問那些侍應,無人有反應,有個類似亞頭的物體就笑住話因為爆水管所以無水。跟住我問佢咁點有冇水洗手,佢居然話無。咁我個朋友唯有叫我用我咃叫的有氣水來洗手。其實無水唔係一個問題,但係無話比客知就係問題。再加上唔幚個客解決,真係唔知佢今時今日的服務態度可以做到幾耐。佢個Set Lunch收HK$320但D食物只係PizzaHut的水準。簡直不知所謂。唯一合標準的只有支有氣水及煙三文魚。不過呢兩樣都同餐廳廚師的廚技無關囉。

一流的意大利餐廳, 味道絕對可媲美香港五六星級酒店之高級意大利餐廳. 意粉當然是必食item. 梁朝偉和劉嘉玲也是常客.

Apparently, Da Domenico's customer base mainly consists of regulars. The regulars love good Italian food and go back for exactly that. The pasta is wonderful: full of flavor and very authentic. The prosciuto was cut paper thin and was very tasty. The figs that accompanied that dish were ripe and sweet. The musssels were fresh. The broth used to steam them was just right. Not too strong. The original taste of the mussels was preserved well. The wine list was good, but I must complain tha

The pasta is wonderful: full of flavor and very authentic. The prosciuto was cut paper thin and was very tasty. The figs that accompanied that dish were ripe and sweet. The musssels were fresh. The broth used to steam them was just right. Not too strong. The original taste of the mussels was preserved well.

The wine list was good, but I must complain that there wasn't any description of the wine (i.e. the vinyard). Some didn't even list the vintage. When I pay over $1000 for a bottle of wine, I'd like to know a bit more about it. The waiter ended up making a good recommendation, but still.

About the service: in general the service was good. However, one of the waiters was a bit pushy in terms of recommending what to order. Also, he talked so fast that I couldn't understand half of what he said. It's great that he's knowledgable and all, but its Italian food: slow down.

Again with the overall setting of the place. The wait staff needs to slow down a bit. Stop running around at 5mph and clanging plates and silverware. It just ruins the whole eating experience. Yes, they are efficient, but the last I remember, Italians are all about being laid back and enjoying a meal. Being noisy is fine, but stop behaving like you're constantly in a rush.

Okay, the price. I guess you pay for what you get. Despite what others say, price is a big factor in determining whether a restaurant is worth going to or not. The food is great, but with these kinds of prices, I'm not sure how often I can afford to go to Da Domenico.

Overall, great restaurant with great food.

食物=好好,海鮮真係一流——鮮、甜!服務=幾好,其中一位senior的staff識得招呼客人同推介食物,而且見我地人唔多會建議我地叫少d份量;junior staff服務中規中矩環境=普通

服務=幾好,其中一位senior的staff識得招呼客人同推介食物,而且見我地人唔多會建議我地叫少d份量;junior staff服務中規中矩

Environment is so-so, it's too small and crowded.Food is excellent.Though the price is high, it's worth. Service is so-so because there are not enough server and only one guy is experieneced to introduce the good dishes to the customers. I and my friend ordered a bottle of red wine, so the price is a little bit high. The wine costed me around 600-800 ( I can't remember exact amount of the wine). It's very tasty!!

Don't complain about the restaurant if the food and service is good enough. If people are willing to pay a high price, why not? Saying that the food is good but too expensive is like saying Porsche is a good car but too expensive. And saying the bread is bad is like saying the pasta is not "soft" enoughIn my opinion, the food was really good. The pasta is just like how they do it in Italy, and the bread, although not good by HK standards (hard and a bit dry), is just like what u will be offered

In my opinion, the food was really good. The pasta is just like how they do it in Italy, and the bread, although not good by HK standards (hard and a bit dry), is just like what u will be offered in Italy. The price is outrageous, but hey, you're buying a piece of Italian Flavour in there, not just Italian Food.

P.S. Think about it, if it's a French Restaurant instead of Italian, I don't think as many ppl will complain about the price. Also, please don't complain about the noise, everybody knows Italians are similar to Chinese, they love to have a big gathering and be noisy while doing it.
