Sirloin (4/10)
The sirloin has great colour, hence the flavour was great. But it lacked a bit of seasoning, perhaps I prefer slightly saltier. The steak was cooked to rare, pink, very nicely done. The texture was great; the inside was not stone cold. However, if the chef can cook the side as well, would just be perfect, and add in a wee bit of butter to finish it.

自從在中環工作後,我覺得十分快樂,快樂不是因為像有些人以為在中環工作就是高人一等的自大,而是中環實在有太多餐廳,琳瑯滿目,只要中午沒事干,就會看看附近有什麼好餐廳,偷望餐廳的menu,看看有什麼好吃,待有空就會來,記得早前舊同事說這間餐廳的牛扒好吃,而且只是走過來十分鐘而已,所以今次就選擇了來這裡。印象中第一次吃阿根廷菜,其實與美國菜分別也不大,畢竟大家都屬於美國吧,所以菜色也類似的。侍應先送上一籃麵包,熱熱的麵包真令人又愛又恨呢,愛是真的很香脆,恨的是很熱氣呢,不過我為了吃,是什麼也不怕的,最多生痱子時去飲杯涼菜,然後當作什麼事也沒有發生 [(big grin)] 吃過很多百吉包,每間的質感味道幾乎也完全不同的,這裡的很軟很黏,是我最喜歡的質感 [(love struck)] 而且牛油很香,不理脂肪增加,硬要塗到整面都是 [(tongue)] 侍應會另外送上牛肉串,煎得很香,很意外未order就有牛肉吃 [(batting eyelashes)] order了一客阿根廷牛肉腸($58),這種腸當然不像在超市買的普通腸吧,即使是50元一包的johnson也不及的,這個腸就像漢堡扒一樣,

侍應先送上一籃麵包,熱熱的麵包真令人又愛又恨呢,愛是真的很香脆,恨的是很熱氣呢,不過我為了吃,是什麼也不怕的,最多生痱子時去飲杯涼菜,然後當作什麼事也沒有發生 [(big grin)] 吃過很多百吉包,每間的質感味道幾乎也完全不同的,這裡的很軟很黏,是我最喜歡的質感 [(love struck)] 而且牛油很香,不理脂肪增加,硬要塗到整面都是 [(tongue)]

order了一客阿根廷牛肉腸($58),這種腸當然不像在超市買的普通腸吧,即使是50元一包的johnson也不及的,這個腸就像漢堡扒一樣,是用了新鮮牛肉製成的,肉味十分濃厚,但略嫌過咸,令我不斷喝水。

我很喜歡洋蔥的製品,特別是這種很濃稠的湯,這個洋蔥湯很正宗呢,有一塊烘過的芝士包在湯中,而湯是十分厚身,相信是用了很多的洋蔥煲成的,而且十分熱,熱湯才好喝。

這是南瓜湯,不要看它的樣子如此平凡,但其實是十分濃稠的,味道也很鮮甜,這裡的湯真是很不錯,有機會真的要copy一下。不過copy的成本也很高,超碼要煲上數小時才可以這樣好喝。

這個salad的名字很長,我都怕了叫什麼,只知道有菜,牛油果,cheese,tomato,當中的cheese真的令人十分喜愛,這cheese很軟,而且充滿香濃的cheese味,但可惜太少了,只有數粒。而牛油果的熟度也是剛剛好,不是未熟很脆,但又不是熟到爛,用料不錯,而其他的材料也很新鮮,唯一美中不足的是不夠醋,如果再加多少少醋便更好。

這裡的main course,除了肉都是肉,沒有什麼意粉飯的,餐廳叫steakhouse,所以來這裡都只為了steak吧!
大部份都是西冷和牛柳,為什麼沒有肉眼呢?如有機會再來,真的逐一問清楚。
終於到主菜了,這份是西冷配焗薯,這西冷真的非常juicy,超多的牛味,真的很好吃呢,既然是西冷,所以不能要求會很"林",不過也比一般的西冷"林",如果大家都打算來,真的要試試。而這裡的grill技術也控制得十分好,要5成熟就真的給我5成,而不會像其他餐廳order5成但給了7成甚至well done!

另一主菜- 牛柳配mashed potato,這牛柳相比西冷就沒有這麼juicy了,但就非常的"林",完全沒有咬不到的感覺,而且整塊牛都沒有少少的渣,的確很好!!!
而在旁的mashed potato也令人十分的意外,最近很懷念mashed potato,但如果自己整會比較費時,因為過篩的程序有點令人懊惱,而這個mashed potato正好滿足了我的胃口,質地非常的幼滑,而且很香,完全是我想吃的那種!! [(big grin)]

雖然舊同事說很好吃,但在openrice沒看到太多comment,有少少擔心質素只是一般,不過抱著一試無妨的心態,所以最後也來了,不但沒有失望,甚至有些喜出望外,食物的質素的確不錯,應熱的都很熱,絕對不會感覺是放了在旁很久才拿絡我吃,但服務就一般,每次想叫待應時都要等很久才見人。如有機會,一定再來! 後來明白到為什麼openrice沒有太多comments,因為來這裡的大多數是外籍人士,相信並沒有太多外籍人士會來openrice寫comment。

早已是La Pampa的常客每過一段時間必定心癢癢想去吃一頓午餐不單是食物從不讓我失望光是午飯繁忙時間也從不需要等位這一點就讓我對它大大的加分午市套餐有3款選擇 - 牛排、鮭魚排或烤雞配菜可選炸薯條、馬鈴薯泥或蔬菜前菜方面可選餐湯或沙拉吧而餐後更有甜點或咖啡/ 茶 可算是非常豐富雖然set lunch有多種選擇 但我每次到La Pampa幾乎都只會點餐湯、牛排配薯條、甜點是次的餐湯是洋蔥湯 是比較少喝道的一款湯(我比較常喝到南瓜湯 / 蘑菇湯)洋蔥湯雖然不是很正宗的法國洋蔥湯但是很實在 喝得到滿滿的洋蔥重頭戲是主菜的Sirloin牛排 雖然只是set lunch但也絕不馬虎厚厚的一大片肉 吃起來特別過癮Chargrill的牛排 不需要任何醬汁 更吃得出原汁原味而且也不會遮蓋牛排本身香濃的牛肉味牛排的生熟程度每次都拿捏得非常準確 少有太生或太熟的情況就連配菜的薯條也炸得又酥又脆這次甜點是焦糖布丁 有點略甜而且布丁也不夠嫩滑我覺得他們的巧克力慕斯是我在La Pampa吃過的甜點當中最好吃的可惜這次沒吃到以非常合理的價錢 在Soho吃得到這麼高質素的牛排La Pampa絕對是中午吃牛排的首

是次的餐湯是洋蔥湯 是比較少喝道的一款湯(我比較常喝到南瓜湯 / 蘑菇湯)
洋蔥湯雖然不是很正宗的法國洋蔥湯
但是很實在 喝得到滿滿的洋蔥

Chargrill的牛排 不需要任何醬汁 更吃得出原汁原味
而且也不會遮蓋牛排本身香濃的牛肉味
牛排的生熟程度每次都拿捏得非常準確 少有太生或太熟的情況
就連配菜的薯條也炸得又酥又脆

這次甜點是焦糖布丁 有點略甜
而且布丁也不夠嫩滑
我覺得他們的巧克力慕斯是我在La Pampa吃過的甜點當中最好吃的
可惜這次沒吃到

以非常合理的價錢 在Soho吃得到這麼高質素的牛排
La Pampa絕對是中午吃牛排的首選

此頓午飯可說是無心插柳的美味。話說是日原先訂了蘇豪一上樓日菜餐廳,結果是像隻「盲頭烏蠅」般找到一頭煙都找不到。。。well,一怒之下,決定轉場。在士丹頓街旁看到有間阿根廷餐廳,外表標緻,那就拉隊隨便入內試試。話時話,阿根廷酒就飲得多,阿根廷菜在本少爺印象中好像沒吃過幾次。後來聽侍應說,原來阿根廷人是無牛不歡,而且他們吃牛肉會按牛的不同部位而且分十幾個等級 (請看餐紙),煮法通常以燒烤為主,並且只是灑點鹽就炭燒,原汁原味。「Ensalada Buffet」這裡頭盤可選自助沙律或湯。沙律吧一眼睇哂,食物選擇不多卻全都很新鮮,尤其那爽脆的 Iceberg lettuce 及鮮嫩蕃茄,伴油醋汁吃很不錯。當然少不了本少爺的「飛佛」橄欖啦!這裡最好的就是蔬菜任取任吃;用新鮮沙律伴主菜的烤肉吃,一口烤肉一口蔬菜,滯膩濃厚的感覺一掃而空。「Sopa Del Dia」友人選的蘑菇湯。「Bife De Chorizo」第一道主菜 - 炭燒阿根廷西冷,賣相簡化,配搭也直來直往,只簡潔地配以薯蓉,連汁也沒有。那吋半厚的西冷我們要了 medium well (因同行友人吃不得太生);近乎熟透的肉質,肉味重,邊皮

這裡頭盤可選自助沙律或湯。沙律吧一眼睇哂,食物選擇不多卻全都很新鮮,尤其那爽脆的 Iceberg lettuce 及鮮嫩蕃茄,伴油醋汁吃很不錯。當然少不了本少爺的「飛佛」橄欖啦!這裡最好的就是蔬菜任取任吃;用新鮮沙律伴主菜的烤肉吃,一口烤肉一口蔬菜,滯膩濃厚的感覺一掃而空。

第一道主菜 - 炭燒阿根廷西冷,賣相簡化,配搭也直來直往,只簡潔地配以薯蓉,連汁也沒有。那吋半厚的西冷我們要了 medium well (因同行友人吃不得太生);近乎熟透的肉質,肉味重,邊皮帶肥微焦,完全不覺乾韌,好吃!

菜名就這樣一個字。老實說,這魚是烤得極好 !!! 三文魚厚切成長條型,燒過後的外表已叫人眼前一亮。熟了的三文魚完全不鞋,切下去是柔軟輕綿,入口融化的質感;味道則是充滿炭火香及鹽燒味,鮮味豐腴,連伴碟的炸薯條也是新鮮熱辣,真的是無懈可擊 !!!

甜品的朱古力慕絲,也是做得出奇地好 !!! 它入口不是很濃很稠,而是很輕軟的那種,柔滑之中滲出一絲朱古力的甜蜜,吃完後整個人心情也好起來。

總結:本少爺給整頓飯的評價是非常的高,以近日吃過最好的一頓午餐!價錢賣 $125 + 10% (魚及雞)、$148 + 10% (西冷) 換來如此高質素的美食,絕對是物超所值。支持!

Next were the main courses.

I chose the 250g tenderlion, and my girlfriend had picked the lambchop.

Given the amazing appetizers, I had expected slightly better from the main courses, but in general the food was roasted quite well. I felt that the meat could have been better marinated, as it felt the meat, although juicy, was not quite flavorful enough.

Overall, I would say La Pampa would be worth re-visiting though.

Funny enough though, it wasn't the meats that impressed us the most...it was the PIES AND CHORIZO which really made the meal! I'm a fan of South American cuisine, especially the way they grill meats, and so when the bf discovered this place I was quite excited to try it. Funny enough though, it wasn't the meats that impressed us the most...it was the PIES AND CHORIZO which really made the meal!

Food:
We ordered a set of pies (chicken and beef) and beef chorizo for starters. Wow, what a great way to start!

The pies were impressive even before your teeth sank beyond the crust - the crust was piping hot, light, and soft yet crispy...none of that hard overbaked nonsense. Then the fillings, oh the fillings! They had some kind of herb mixture with which they marinated the meats giving it an exotic flavour (the beef one reminded me of Xinjiang food), and coupled with the fine ingredients and oven-fresh temperature, it was a real winner. I liked how the used good meats, even for a lowly little pie - not something all restaurants would be so generous on. The meat pieces weren't big, but there weren't pieces of tendon or fat when biting in.

The chorizo was also amazing - fragrant and perfectly grilled, not too fatty. I was actually a bit surprised at what it turned out to be - a bit like a polish dog? - because I was expecting a firmer spicy salami-like sausage like the chorizo you find in paella.

Our mains were a tenderloin and lamb chop. I thought the meat quality of both were good, but the seasoning was a bit hit and miss - some spots tasted really and some were a bit lacking in flavour. The tenderloin was a little bit scary because when we cut into it there was a LOT of reddish liquid - couldn't really tell how red it was though, until we shone a phone on it, because of the dim lighting. Anyway, the steak had to be slightly re-cooked.

Service/Environment: Service was fine - nothing particularly stands out. The decor of the restaurant is nice - gives you a South American Ranch feel. There were two things I thought which detracted a little from the experience. 1) the windows are full pane down to the floor types, but the inside of the restaurant is very dim, so when the cars go by, their headlights really shine right into your eyes. I think putting in some wood panels at the bottom would help. 2) This is true of many restaurants which use hard materials in their decor theme, but it was a tad loud and echoey inside.

In sum, It's a pretty good restaurant overall (7.5 or 8/10), and I'd definitely come back for the pies and sausage...wouldn't that be a great lunch for about 100 bucks?

主菜上來, 吾友瞪著我那吋半厚的sirloin 直讌口水, 恨不相逢未點時. 蓋那 medium 的熟透度, 微焦帶點肥, 甘腴香醇俱備, 沒得投訴之餘. 配的茨菜也帶驚喜, 那 baby carrots 是逐顆 trim 過的, 在在顯示了廚子的一絲不苟.

而吾友的去骨雞扒配 fries 亦賣相甚佳, 煎得金黃誘人, decent sized 的兩大塊, 見其吃得甚香, 瞬間碟底已朝天, 不消問已知其滿意度焉.

再來單尾棄咖啡選甜品, 得到是每份兩 scoops 的 choc chip 雪糕, 絕對的心滿意足了.

結賬 $148 + $125 = $273 + 10% = $300.00. 自發地多付數十元小費, 仍覺超值.

在競爭激烈和租金高昂的這蘇豪, 以這樣的價錢提供如斯的品質, 著實不易. 看得出是薄利多銷或從晚市, 酒水所得來補貼吧, 實是我等白領上班族之福, 理當支持鼓勵.

跟兩位朋友一起去,雖然餐桌稍擠,不過每個人的位子,還蠻大的! 因為是第一次去,所以只能分享這次的經驗,讓大家參考!昨天的house red wine,搭配牛肉還蠻順口的.食物方面,看到別人的食評有over cooked. 不過昨天去,我們覺得還好耶!牛肉也不會太油,調味不會太鹹,side dish 的蔬菜也很清淡,整體吃下來,覺得還不錯!沙拉的部分,跟大家拍出的照片不同,所以表示他們沒有固定的沙拉成份,昨天吃的橄欖油太多,醋醬不夠! 唯一ok 的是,沙拉還算清脆爽口!搭配的麵包,沒有嚼勁,是很差的法國面包!

其實去食既時候是2009年8月1日既時候,因為男友係阿根廷人,因為佢miss 阿根廷,所以我地搵日特登去食,入到去坐低,點菜,上菜,佢一邊食一邊同我講呢度完唔係argentina style (no TV for football),冇 argentina 氣氛,實際似是european style 多D囉,所以佢就好失望,唯一佢話係argetina flavour 係個 blood sausage,同埋阿根廷紅酒,不過我對我呢個外行,又不太愛吃肉的人來講,咁我覺得都OK既咁囉,不過真係好貴,兩個人食左一千大元。大拿咁貴一餐食唔到心水既野,實在太貴喇。個名話明係"argentinian" 架麻,都唔係既 ><,仲信個招牌架麻仲要全香港以我所知得呢間 argentina restaurant 架麻不過支阿根廷紅酒又既好味既,咩名呀? 太pro 既野我就唔記得喇

喜歡食牛扒,所以約了幾位朋友一起去試試。之前看食評,好壞參半,主要都是批評的牛肉overcook,所以有了心理準備,全部order 都喺 medium rare。結果仍然是seriously overcooked。Filet 還勉強可以,份sirloin竟然用 steak knife 切也有困難, 一路切一路同塊扒搏鬥,好似周星馳做笑片咁。我哋五個人,點了四份牛一份雞。隻雞啲肉實到要用扒刀切。雖說這餐廳以牛扒做主打,但也不應該咁嘅水準。對這間的餐廳實在非常失望,喺SOHO隨便找間西餐廳啲牛扒都比他們好,冇下次。

I am quite a regular la pampa customer because I enjoyed a good piece of steak. First of all I want to tell you if you absolutely adore the Japanese Wagyu beef, then this is not the kind of steak restaurant you are looking for. their steak is tender and have texture than wagyu's soft like butter taste.i highly recommend the grilled cheese as starter, it is full of flavour and chewy. steak is the best dishes and if you think coming here and order pasta, then forget it.tenderloin steak is the must

I am quite a regular la pampa customer because I enjoyed a good piece of steak. tenderloin steak is the must have and i always prefer medium rare and the meat stays juicy. u can choose different size of the steak which fits your wallet and stomach.

but i can tell u this place is not cheap but reasonable in price, do check it out!

見到係steak house 就盲摸摸走去食我哋3個人,1個要rare,1個medium rare,1個well done煮得唔錯喎,唔會過熟,佢哋好滿意反而我個well done爭少少,不過起碼毋血水先舊牛叭都幾大塊,有少少硬,但幾有牛味上碟時毋汁嘅,要問佢羅所以食左舊,好似毋乜醃咁,但就有食到幾濃嘅牛肉味,幾surprise汁有蘑估/pepper揀,蘑姑酸酸哋,唔好食pepper都ok,有1粒粒毋磨嘅糊椒係道不過我寧可唔點汁,重原汁原味可以揀dessert,果日係fruit salad,其實係切好嘅生果囉毋突別

要開始三天三夜的戒澱粉質食物的生涯,第一天,就在這裡鋸扒。問過湯是豆湯,不能喝,唯有轉向沙律吧下手。沙律吧選擇不多,可以吃的就更少,只拿了幾片羅馬生菜、沙律菜及青瓜。吃起來爽脆,也相當新鮮,不過什麼醬汁也不下,當然是非常之寡淡的。而沙律吧也還有各式花生果仁等等,要求不高的話,也可以的。燒西冷聞起來是香噴噴的,切一刀就知不對路,要了medium rare,但來的卻是medium well-done也有突,說是well-done也可以。午市的阿根廷牛肉已經質數一般,加上火侯掌握錯誤,絕對是吃得一頭煙!不過純以飽肚角度而言,是可以的,以美味角度來說,不及格。侍應看似漫不經心,但也不錯的。連飲品埋單百六蚊有找,不便宜,要鋸扒也不會再考慮這裡。還有那不能吃得麵包籃,可以味道不錯吧!

價錢不貴, 服務亦很窩心。小弟的車子就停在門口, 服務員不停的幫我看看有沒有警察先生抄牌。

按道理此家店子水平不俗, 不知是不是銅鑼灣食街的租金太高昂而被"迫遷"至此。坦白說,舊店的地方比這裏舒適多了.....

Last night (Saturday) my bf and I decided to venture out in search of good steak again. We'd been to the Intercontinental Hotel Steak House and Ruth's Chris Steak House. Pleased with the steak and service at both places but the price is too high for us to go regularly. So decided to try out La Pampa in Soho. Called them up to book a table. The waitress explained that they were busy and the only table was a small one by the entrance. We said we'd take it. The place was small but cozy. Pretty packed as it was a Saturday night. Lighting was poor and the air con was too low. We were pretty hot. Anyway, we were greeted with a sample of their tenderloin and veg skewer. Was pretty good. But they didn't have a large beef-cut selection on their menu. Only tenderloin and sirloin steaks available. They had other types of meat though - like sausage, chicken and lamb. We ordered the Argentinian sausage (chorizo) as a starter. This was good, but kinda expensive for half a sausage each. He ordered a chicken, tenderloin and veg skewer with vegetable side. I ordered the "no. 19" thinking it was a tenderloin steak with veg side. 10 mins later, I questioned my bf why they didn't ask me how many oz's of steak I wanted. So I asked to see the menu, only to realise I'd ordered the wrong thing! The lighting was so bad, I'd misread the number. I thought the no. 19 was the tenderloin steak, but in actual fact it was the tenderloin, bacon and veg skewer. I was not pleased. Too late to change the order as the kitchen was preparing the meal already. So had to eat the skewer. Both our skewers were ok. He liked his. But I was disappointed as I'd prefered a real steak to cut through. The tenderloin (although on a skewer and in smaller chunks) was well made. The bacon gave it flavour but was fattening. The veg side was covered in butter so was tasty but not good if you're on a diet. I specifically ordered no carbs but was greeted with a round of white bread and buttered veg side. Anyway, didn't finish the veg side (as butter is fattening) and didn't finish the bread and bacon. My bf finished his veg, bacon and meat though. He only ate one buttered white bread. He said it was mediocre. We were too full to sample anything else. So no dessert and wine.

La Pampa is a good place to go for steak as a cheaper option. But not much steak cut selection. The tenderloin was prepared and cooked well. Though, I'm not too fussed on tenderloin in general. The price of the tenderloin skewer was $358, so not cheap but a good alternative option. Overall, the surrounding was cozy but too small to sit comfortably for a long period. Too hot too! Anyway, this place is an all-rounder. Nothing special, but not bad. Can get relatively good service and food for a reasonable price.
