It is often a headache to make up a plan for weekends when the weather is not friendly to us. Several outdoor activity plans were ruined by occasional downpour. Therefore, we resorted to "swimming on the table". The mahjong game started at 5 PM yesterday afternoon. All of us were keen on playing "hygienic mahjong". No one wanted to grab food outside. We ordered take-away delivery from Pizza Express. Here are our order list:
1. garlic bread
2. baked dough balls
3. baked mushrooms
4. chicken caesar salad
5. Tortellini con Panna
6. Cannelloni
7. SohoPizza
The garlic bread is an ordinary one and doesn't worth special description. Dough balls, on the other hand, are cute small buns. When you dip it in the sauces (including pesto rosso and genovese) coming with the dough balls, the bread will absorb the sauce to make it more tasteful. Baked mushrooms are mushrooms with mozzrella. Cheese fans like me would love that. Chicken caesar salad is of ordinary standard. It doesn't come with enough vinegar. And the chicken slices were too big. It'd be better to have finer slices. Cannelloni are rolls of pasta filled with ricotta, spinach, parmesan, tomato. It's quite creamy and is not suitable for ladies having a diet. But certainly it is the favourite of cheese fans. Tortellini con Panna is a beef filled pasta shells with bechamel, cream and parmesan. Unlike Cannelloni, it is moderately flavoured with cheese and more suitable for ladies. SohoPizza is made of parmesan, olives, garlic, mozzarella and tomato with rocket topping. This pizza was specially ordered for ladies who are scared of putting extra pounds after having a heavy dinner. But it may not be gentlemen's cup of tea.
The pasta and pizza were come in wisely designed boxes and specially designed canvas bag. Very often when we are having take-away food at home, the dining table is messy with used papers and plastic utensils. With those boxes and canvas bag by Pizza Express, we just put everything back into the boxes, packed them up and put them into canvas bag. It just looked as neat as when they were unpacked just an hour ago.
We ended up with $100 per head. It's not expensive and it's a good choice for cheese lovers.
