[ 农 Farm Restaurant | 大埔 ]I’ve walked through Science Park multiple times and witnessed them building and renovating this restaurant for quite some time now, did not expect for it to get so populated so soon so I knew I had to reserve a date asap 😁. Came today for a dim sum lunch with family near home on Sunday so naturally, there was a lot of people. This promotional offer definitely captured our attention. We were not expecting anything tender and grand but the results definitely made us happy.


The little pieces of meat on the pigeon were absolute perfection, tender and flavorful. The skin was crunchy and deeply soaked with flavor too. I also ate their brain (high in protein with a liver texture) and tried to suck all the meat and juices from the bones and neck 🤤😝😋.

Artistically carved stems 😂. All very crunchy and crisp. The ginger and garlic is strong but not overwhelming that your mouth feels spicy.

爽脆海蜇头


Crunchy and refreshing but served tepid 😐. The dressing was light and a tad bit spicy. Not bad for appetizers but not worth the price at all.

Way better than the jellyfish heads. Likewise crunchy and refreshing with a sourness to it.

农家炒蚬 $88


Many empty shells but still have good amount of meat. The clams were not sandy or mushy but very chewy and spicy, although a bit small. The sauce also sticks to it very well.

三虾豆苗 $88


AMAZING 🤩. The variety of dried shrimp give a mind blowing umaminess to the clean vegetables. The 豆苗 was also crunchy but soaked well in the mild broth. Eating the shrimps with the vegetables is just idyllic.

黑鱼籽虾巴 $78


Hard to eat the shrimp with the rice 😂. The shrimp is tender and firm and the rice is crunchy and well seasoned. The caviar on the shrimp just adds saltiness to the shrimp 😂. Eating them together is not recommended as their strong flavors cancels each other out 😕.

幻彩带子饺 $58


The dumpling wrapper is way too thick and the ratio of filling to wrapper is very uneven. Scallop was tiny but gave a nice texture. Tasted like any other 虾饺 🙂.

拉丝啤梨 $48


The ‘pear’ stem is a pocky stick 😂. This was written as a ‘chicken dumpling’ on the menu but the filling (which was 5% of the dumpling) did not have any chicken meat inside, it tasted of chicken cream soup (?)🤔. Quite hard to explain. The fried dumpling dough is made with glutinous rice flour so very chewy but there is a lot of dough 😥.


This is only nice for photos 😀.

The tea was not dilute and quite nice but, way too expensive. Make sure you drink many cups 🤣.

💬 Overall,


Some items are magnificent and absolutely delicious whilst others, you get fooled by the appearance. This restaurant is recommended if you want to come and take photos with quirky Chinese foods but not if you crave good dim sum.


The service here also resembles a regular dim sum restaurant 🥸🤣. Although a bit quieter.
