It has been a long while since a group of my colleagues dined out together during lunch, as our schedule does not permit us to do so. One of us suggested to go Bonnie restaurant, which was a Thai restaurant. It was located at Tung Choi Street, within 3 minutes walk from Mongkok MTR.One of their main selling points was all of the noodles or rice items were included during lunch set and it was very affordable, inclusive of a drink. One of their main selling points was all of the noodles or rice items were included during lunch set and it was very affordable, inclusive of a drink. They do served ala carte menu during lunch as well.
Thai style milk tea was smooth and milky, with strong tea taste. Maybe because of thai cream milk, it was even smoother. Hot lime water and hot lime tea was served hot and clear, helping to digest easier from those spicy and oily food.
Pineapple fried rice - There were some pork floss at the side for us to mix with the rice. Rice was fragrant and pineapple smell was strong as well.
Fried flat noodles with seafood - The noodles were fried till soft, but slightly dry though as there were no gravy in it. Not much ingredients were used as there were only egg and vegetables in it.
Chilli paste fried rice - Due to the chilli paste used, this fried rice was more flavourful and slightly spicy, which was to my liking. There were cut eggs placed at the side as well.
Grilled pork neck - The portion was quite huge, with slight fats in the meat. It was juicy and chewy, not hard. Chilli sauce was provided to bring out the taste.
Jelly - It was complimentary and was served after we have finished our meal. The jelly was sweet and smooth, but slightly hard though.
