There are two branches of Bistromique, one on Staunton Street in Soho and another one in K Town. The Soho branch has a rather dark and small door so do keep your eyes out when are you are coming here. There are actually a basement in the restaurant for mroe seating area, the upper floor uses mostly natural light to brighten the dining area. Their house red and white was good enough to go with their food on the menu so it's not a bad idea to spice things up with a bit of wine. The warm bread roll

Baby squid 'a la plancha' choriza, garlic

I always doubt myself when ordering squid or octopus dishes because I have countless bad experience eating rubbery seafood. Their baby squid was super soft with no "freezer taste". The seafood abosorbed all the flavour from sauce, while the breadcrumb on top gave a contrasting crunch to the dish.
This starter was definitely a bomb and I highly recommend you to order this starter over the others.

Pumpkin soup with crab meat
The blended pumpkin soup was smooth and creamy but just to the right point, which means it was not too creamy nor too sweet from the pumpkin. The consistency was also great as a cream based soup.
Some shredded crab meat was then added to the soup giving it a taste of seafood savoury flavour to the earthy pumpkin soup.

I really liked how they picked the good ingredients from the local produce to the good quality spring chicken. I must say the chicken was one of the good ones out there!
