This is a newly open cha chaang teng on Victory Street in HMT. Walked pass it a few times and it always has people queing outside for breakfast in the weekend, so I decided to check it out. The interior is new and clean, but quite small and jammed in. The eating area is small and there is little to no separation between other diners. We ordered a typical HK style breakfast and a western breakfast to try the variety.
The first meal was the typical beef satay noodles with scrambled eggs and toast, with hot milk tea. Nothing special, just normal, but complaint is the scrambled egg was too oily.
The second meal was fish fillet, scrambled egg, sausage, baked beans and toast, with ice milk tea. Again, nothing special, complaint is the fish fillet was over cooked and like breaking rock to eat it.
I think the que is due to a lack of good places to have breakfast in the area in the morning!
