A Plus Kitchen is a cha chan teng in Causeway Bay that we go to often. The food is decent and there is always seats despite how busy the area is. Much to our surprise, while struggling to find a place to eat in Tsim Sha Tsui in a busy weekend, we find another A Plus Kitchen. Also, with a few tables available. The restaurant here is a much bigger. They also have a tea time menu that includes a drink. Menu in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. The restaurant here is a much bigger. They also have a tea time menu that includes a drink. Menu in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. The tea set menu also has a lot more selections than the Causeway Bay branch.
Boyfriend ordered the Grilled Eel and Diced Chicken Fried Rice ($48). The portion here is a lot larger than the Causeway Bay branch. There was plenty of eel to be found along with bits of chicken. The only thing was there wasn't enough seasoning but other than that, ok.
I had the Crispy Chicken Leg with Fruit Salad ($44). The chicken leg was sprinkled with Taiwanese salt and pepper seasoning. That was definitely differnt. The meat was juicy but the meat part wasn't seasoned. Only the very crispy skin had the seasoning. There was a side of salad with sesame dressing along with my choice of fruit salad. The fruit salad was ok.
Portions were larger than the Causeway Bay branch with more choices during tea time. Food was ok but I felt the Causeway Bay one tasted better. Unsure if will be back.
