Heard that there is a new style Chaozhou “心夜来潮” in Mong Kok which is popular, last week took a try. Arrived ~7pm but already start queue, ~30min seat available. Seats are outdoor but luckily not rainy days, orders the following: Bovine offal, beef balls, pot bbq meat, sauce duck, fried rice noodle roll, small rice dumpling, pig oil to fire vegetables .beef balls is big and come with soup, texture is spongy and I drink the soup also; pot bbq meat and sauce duck are tasty but not too salty, best t

Seats are outdoor but luckily not rainy days, orders the following: Bovine offal, beef balls, pot bbq meat, sauce duck, fried rice noodle roll, small rice dumpling, pig oil to fire vegetables .

beef balls is big and come with soup, texture is spongy and I drink the soup also; pot bbq meat and sauce duck are tasty but not too salty, best to take along with beer! Bovine offal come with bowl and keep heating,

Bovine offal is fresh and not too old so need not worry about too much chew. One suggesting is to keep the radish longer inside to let it absorb the tasty juice.

fried rice noodle roll are well fried, dry but not too salty or spicy suit most people taste. And for the for small rice dumpling it looks like Chaozhou pastry but it is modified to be smaller and less sticky in texture, I like it.

Finally for pig oil to fire vegetables, seems to be “oily” but in fact it’s isn’t. The deep-fried pig oil is so smelly and make the vegetables delicious!
