Having worked in Wanchai, it’s great to have a good coffee shop nearby. For me, having coffee is a moment of chilling and to take a break after a hard day of work. ☕️Other than the most common chain-stores, there happens to be a new coffee shop at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. My colleagues went past last week and got a coupon. Today we decided to try the new restaurant on 4/F and I was like great, I’ll try the coffee afterwards then! 👍🏻😋There’s only one barista so I had to wait a while for my coffe

There’s only one barista so I had to wait a while for my coffee. I had a bit of time left after lunch so decided to go for the hand drip coffee. The barista tailor makes them by having the customer choosing the coffee beans, then grinding them and slowly pours in water for the coffee to drip.
It was a new experience in watching how the coffee was made and prepared from ‘scratch’. Although it took longer than I thought as there were a few people in front of me, the coffee taste gave me a surprise. It had a flowery smell after the beans were grind but the smell wasn’t obvious after it was dripped. The first taste was a mixture of bitter and fruity, but the after-taste had more fruitiness in it. The hand drip coffee is a bit pricey ($45) while the others are around $3X.
Grateful to have a nice coffee shop nearby! Would love to try the others next time and perhaps dessert! 😋
