MY husband and I patron of Itacho Sushi Restaurant as we enjoy the atmosphere and good food served at other outlets.

We visited your outlet on Sunday 24th June 18.45pm 2012, we order what was on the menu as Tresus Keenae Saschimi ordering code was 412, and filled in the self ordering forms provided at the tables by crossing the number of from the forms, to our surprise the dish arrived and was Itacho’s Kids Meal clearly not what we pre-order from the main menu.

We investigated and told the waiter called Tao Wai this is not what we order, and he reply that he only follows what was filled out on the ordering form, to resolve the case we called the Assistant manager called Ms Ling who was supervising the outlet, and explain to her that we want to cancel this dish, she reply that company policy we cannot cancel the dish normally, we directly told her from the menu catalogue, and self ordering forms there was clearly misrepresentation or mistake, and the waiter even mention that the dish pre-order number we should of order was missing a number (1) 412 – clearly from the photo we taken to highlight our case you can clearly see that 412 and the order form 412 is clearly different. We told the Assistant manager can we change the dish to what highlighted on the main menu, she reply back and told us, she will change this for us.

To our astonishment we waited for twenty minutes and we observed the service staff, particularly the waiters, do not attend to the calls of the patron unless it is for the bill – we mention to the same waiter called Tao Wai that our dish we originally wanted to order was taking very long time he reply that the dish was SOLD OUT and wasn’t on the system when clearly from our understanding and acknowledgment from the Assistant Manager from before that she would exchange the dish for us.

If not for the tasty food, I would not continue to patronize the restaurant. There seems clearly a system of service failure and no system of service recovery, the service staff and the service manager needs further training at the highest level. It is a rather frustrating experience dining at the restaurant.
