Visited this cozy restaurant at Kuntsford Terrace on a friend's recommendation. The decor is nice and the staff is super friendly. My dad has a back problem, they overheard and promptly offered a cushion - greatly appreciated !We ordered their taste menu, starting with our own selection at the antipasto table. Next is is the corn soup with a molten quail egg. It's served hot, with a little crusted bacon like sort of ham and a drizzle of olive oil. Not the average cream of corn soup, there's a nice freshness to it. Definitely something different. Very comforting.
The pasta I went with the home made baked Tagiolini, basically it's a pasta with tonnes of melted crafted chess on it ~ yummmmmmmm.
I was already more than half full when the main came - a poached fish wrapped in a cellophane (see photo - it's a little hard to describe), which they open in front of you. The fish is nice, but what makes it really good is its natural juice which is all sealed it the parcel parcel. Fresh with tomatoes and olives ! Had it all
Too full to try their tiramisu, which my friend highly recommended ~ Would have to wait till next time. The set came with coffee, which was (unexpectedly) above average.
Great food! Just careful with over ordering, the set is quite filling ~ Will like to leave some room for dessert next time. Definitely coming back!
