Decent sandwiches but obscenely priced

Aside from being obscenely priced (my biggest and only gripe) this place actually serves up pretty decent sandwiches. That is, if you don't mind paying $22 for half of one sandwich which means 1 slice of bread. Or perhaps baguettes are more of your thang, setting you back $18 for about 3 inches worth of bread. They do use quality ingredients and the food is fresh, but what really bothered me was witnessing the staff after hours, and just before closing throwing out whatever that was unsold from

That is, if you don't mind paying $22 for half of one sandwich which means 1 slice of bread. Or perhaps baguettes are more of your thang, setting you back $18 for about 3 inches worth of bread. They do use quality ingredients and the food is fresh, but what really bothered me was witnessing the staff after hours, and just before closing throwing out whatever that was unsold from the fridge. They could either donate the food to charity organizations or sell them at a reduced price, as opposed to chucking it out. But I guess the price factor of such wastage has already been factored in which would explain $22 for 1/2 a sandwich in the first place. And trust me, you won't be full after 1/2, so you'd probably need 1 whole sandwich. They've also raised the breakfast baguette prices up from $14 to $16 mid last year. Suffice it to say, I've since turned my nose up at this place given their wasteful practices. The salads are not so great but it's really the sandwiches that one comes here for. My favourite sammy is the "all the day breakfast" but I don't plan on patronizing again as the price just isn't right.
