The set started with a seafood platter. Surprisingly the oysters were of really good quality, both in size and taste. The lobster and shrimp were of reasonable quality too. The king crab legs lacked taste. Otherwise, a good seafood platter to start with.
Then came a number of dishes to share. Personally liked the salty egg shrimp and the soya sauce chicken the most. It’s interesting that they have a mixture of western and Chinese dishes to share.
The lobster bisque was rich. Just wished it was a bit hotter. For the main dish, I opted for their abalone and goose feet. Both are braised well. Quite surprised by its quality given its part of the set dinner menu.
Finally, it can’t go wrong with pastries from the Butterfly patisseries. The Montblane was a nice end of the meal.
Given the amount of food and it was the New Year’s Eve dinner menu, the price is fair. A very solid and filling dinner menu.
Price: HK$1650/$2000 (free flow)
Revisit: 8/10
