Having visited this restaurant on many occasions we knew you were always assured of good service and good food. This was until the service on our last visit was a major disapointment. As two of the group finished their meals before the others, a waiter moved in to clear the empty plates. As two of the group finished their meals before the others, a waiter moved in to clear the empty plates. It was politely requested that the waiter leave the empty plates until everyone in the group had finished their meals. The waiter, who is a familiar face at the restaurant, was then heard to say "f--- off". I appreciate restaurants and diners may have different policies & expectations regarding the clearing of plates, but when a customer expresses a preference for the plates to remain out of courtesy to other members of the group it does not need to be met with such a rude response. The principle here is not when it is right and wrong to clear plates but more the waiters offensive comment and bad attitude.
