Came here for their Frozen exhibition and I wanted to try their famous Pistachio Cornetto (Cornetto al Pistachio). To my surprise, when I ordered as takeaway, they had a buy 1 get 1 free promotion for take away. I ordered their regular cornetto as well the pistachio. I tried the Pistachio first and the Pistachio filling was amazingly rich. Every bite filled your senses with Pistachio when you reach the centre filling. The pistachio flavor of the pastry itself was not strong though despite they added it to the dough. However, this Cornetto (Italian croissant) was a bit too dense. I know the Cornetto is expected to be more dense than the French Croissant but for myself, I prefer it to be a bit more fluffy.

The fluffiness came when I tried their regular Cornetto. It was still less flaky compared to the croissant but I think the density of this pastry is more suitable. Maybe the texture of the Pistachio Cornetto was affected by adding pistachio to the dough?? If I get to choose, I would prefer the pasty of the Cornetto to be plain yet simply adding the pistachio filling inside.
