The restaurant is pretty much the only choice on the beach. I don't think many of us really liked the food. The best thing for me was the bread!The green salad was so-so...cucumber, lots of onions, some green peppers and a few iceberg lettuce leaves, with a very mild olive/vinegar dressing. But at $30 I guess I shouldn't complain.Being a Mediterranean/South African restaurant, I had high hopes for the ostrich steak. What was delivered was tough, dry, and what's the deal with the sauce? Being a Mediterranean/South African restaurant, I had high hopes for the ostrich steak. What was delivered was tough, dry, and what's the deal with the sauce? I thought the menu said something about green peppercorn? Not only was there no hint of pepper, it tasted like alcohol and very strange. In the end I had to sprinkle it with lots of salt and pepper, and even then we didn't feel like finishing it.
The waitress recommended the ribs, and my friend who ordered it thought it was reasonably good. But really not sure about the quality here.
Oh and they are just too busy with too few staff to handle the customers. Service definitely poor. And the lights on our side did not work - it was so dark we couldn't read the menu properly. And the staff didn't call any taxis for us as we requested.
Bad food, bad service... can anyone think why we should ever come back?
